The stock market was in a bubble. It has to come down. The housing market was in a bubble. It has to come down. We printed $6T, that money HAS to be pulled from the market to stop inflation. Maybe not all of it but I would say more than half. You do this by increasing interest rates and quantitative tightening. Inflation is the single worst thing for the economy. It is worse that a stock market crash, it is worse than a recession, it is worse than a housing market crash. It is an economy killer. It has to be stopped before we sort out the rest. Powell's problem is he is late to the party and is still moving too slowly.

Protecting your capital is much more important than making money. Basically because if you lose your capital, making money is much harder. ''Missing the train'' vs. ''losing your money''. There are a lot of trains, but if your money is gone, it's over.

You might have heard this before but its imperative that I mention it. Starting out with a with a professional that knows the ropes of the choppy but profitable market is the best way to achieve getting a well structured portfolio. Hasan gave you a golden opportunity to say/call for something very important and you recoiled into ineffectiveness, unfortunately, senator. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? This seems to be the question you are both bandying about, here, but is - for the constituents (the people who suffer or benefit from the decisions of those governing us) - a secondary, historical point for historians and philosophers to discuss AFTER the situation is rectified. Yes get rid of dark money and yes get rid of the unjust bias of the courts caused by the buying of those who are deciding, by the non-elected institutions of our economy, which (not who) seem to enjoy qualitatively more rights than do I/we. Sometimes I wish I were a corporation and not a citizen. Answer the question Senator Whitehouse; stop dillydallying. It's very unbecoming of you and unfair to us, only because we are listening!
