I'm watching this solely because the author is a legend. 1. The author is a hardcore fan of the voice actor, Natsumi Haruse 2. Natsumi Haruse's hobby is watching figure skating 3. The author debuts with a manga featuring figure skating with the female lead that looks like the character Natsumi Haruse's known for (Kaoru Ryuzaki) 4. The manga gets popular enough to be animated 5. The voice actor of the female lead is Natsumi Haruse

I heard that the writer/illustrator of the Medalist Manga Tsurumaikada is a big fan of Inori Yuitsuka's voice actress Natsumi Haruse who's known for the role of Kaoru Ryūzaki in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls U149.

This is one of my favorite manga of all time. I love every character and the entire storyline. Their efforts and determination truly resonated with me, inspiring me to start figure skating at the age of 26. I’ve grown to love skating even more after trying it myself. I hope to try a single axel at least once in my life, even though I've been skating for less than two months. I can't wait for the series to be released!

Mappa said it didn't bring them enough money Vs how much popularity it's got, so they seem not to have Yoi movie/2 season as priority. Can't blame them completely since people don't live on popularity alone. But being Yoi the show which set them in the map, kinda makes it hard not seeing them as pretty much ungrateful towards their own roots.

It was one of the most well liked anime that season along with it being one of their very first shows. Being able to have that kind of pedigree immediately worth paying attention to. YUI is of course gonna be another highlight moment, but imo jjk and aot is when they really break the normie barrier.

As someone who loves figure skating but struggles too much with not having enough money or resources, I feel seen in a way :) I wish that some coach would just adopt me, it really sucks having passion but not being able to progress as fast as you would like because you are self-taught, learn from youtube videos, rink friends and the ocassional classes when money is not tight. I have a feeling that I’m going to enjoy this anime a lot, I’ll read the manga in the meantime~
