I wish they didn't construct that flyover. It would have been better for the current metro construction and Velachery to Tambaram in future.

@@Anbu_Sampath I think proposed Tambaram - Velachery Metro ( plans to extend upto Guindy or Little Mount metro station ) pillar might construct adjacent to Medavakkam flyover on left side towards Velachery direction. For that land acquisition need to be done. Hope once phase 2 metro work completes ( when partial stretch opens to public ) either Tambaram - Velachery or Airport - Kilambakkam Bus stand metro work need to start

@@NambiValavan my point is that flyover is unnecessarily built. Now big bottleneck for metro. Tambaram - Velachery - Guindy - Little Mount Metro link makes great connectivity. All 4 should be constructed as multimodal hub.

@@NambiValavan not well planned flyover. The direct access from Pallikaranai to Perumbakkam High Road now does not exist. No service road or a road underneath the flyover to take left. An unnecessary 2-km ride (Use flyover & then take U-turn) skipping two major redirections.

I agree, one of the worst designed flyovers in Chennai. Another badly designed flyover is velachery flyover.

If Tambaram - Velachery metro work started in future it will connect Pallikaranai. As of now Pallikaranai residents can use Medavakkam metro station which is nearby metro station
