This is why I love art. Seeing different variations of the same subject. You can have 10 different artists drawing Chung li and they will all look different, but that's what makes it cool. It's like different bands doing covers, not the same as the original song, but you don't want it to be! Awesome stuff 😎👍

Every time you talk about your work, with the having a gym at work on this video, or the christmas dinner one (everything looked so nice :_D), really makes me want to get a job like that. I think that motivates me more than actual motivation speeches. Enough writting, back to doing the art thing!

Also, it seems that a lot of artists that I know of (and just hear talking about in general) have a hard time with depression and how that can affect creativity and motivation--myself included. It may sound too easy, but unless you've seen or felt the results of how a change of diet and implementing even mild to moderate exercise can be such a revelation in combating depression. Those things stimulate the brain and releases all sorts of endorphins that bring the brain back to homeostasis. I guess the most difficult thing for most people is getting started in the first place, but once you dig up some discipline and stick to a regular routine you'll find that you will start to have more and more energy. Not just physical energy but mental/creative as well. This should not be underestimated!!! And I praise Aha-med for inspiring folks to get going!!!

No house, just a tiny dorm room in the city lol.
@Pinko_Band8 жыл бұрын
matter85 Oh geez, same difference!!! There are plenty of exercises you can do in a dorm room. Me and my friends did all the time. The point is you can do them anywhere and not need a gym. Don't use that as an excuse! That's an easy trap to fall into and get stuck in. Get motivated brahhhh!!!! Dewwwwiittttt!!!!
@matter858 жыл бұрын
Lmao, anything you can recommend, because when I mean small its like 8 feet by 6 feet.
@Pinko_Band8 жыл бұрын
matter85 Ok so, for example, I think Aha-med mentioned the push/pull stuff which is a really good place to start if you are wanting to do more than just cardio (which a bike is good for if you have one for getting around campus--if not, run!). If u can get ur hands on some dumbbells, then u don't need a lot of room to use them. If not, then use your books! Pushups, pullups, curls, shoulder presses, etc. Look up all the different exercises that you can do with little or no equipment. Like I said, u may just have to get a little creative, but waiting until you have "all the right equipment" to get started is just giving in to procrastination and you'll never get going. No excuses, if you really want to do it, then you will.

Awesome video, nice figures! This is question out there for any artists: I've been wanting to get better at figure drawing for so long but I don't know how to approach it properly. I find myself getting stuck, like i learn proportion like the cubes and then.... What's next? Detailed anatomy of the arms?? Anatomy of the trunk??? How do you artists approach learning anatomy. Do you go one section by one section detailed per day and then repeat the cycle over again? Or practice the figure in general like study all the parts, legs, arms, and everything in one go everyday? Any advice would be super cool.
@AhmedAldoori8 жыл бұрын
+Aimee Fritz Pick your favorite characters, draw them a lot from reference. You can have an anatomy reference sheet if you want, so that when you're drawing Chun Li's leg, you can say, oh! This is a gastrocnemius! And quadriceps! Also figure drawing, drawing people from real life is great. I drew lots of Spiderman.
@aimeefritz91868 жыл бұрын
+Ahmed Aldoori awesome, great advice! Thanks! :D oh yeah I've heard in some of your videos about spiderman too, I'll give it a shot. Keep doing the awesome work that you're doing!
@z-dinestudio41658 жыл бұрын
+Aimee Fritz I like to alternate between references and technique. So I might spend a while practicing a new drawing technique from imagination (like boxes or coils) and then do some sketches from reference poses, magazines or real life. Sometimes just sitting in a park or on the subway and sketching people as they go by is great practice, because it forces you to work on visual memory and understand complex forms from very brief glimpses.

Can someone please help me? Im in my second year of an animation highschool in Sweden. I would love to work with concept art and recently i have started asking around about what or where i should study to become a concept artist. My teachers are not helping, with them mostly knowing about the anmation and clasical art industry and not so much about the gaming and concept art part. I asked them and they sugested an illustrarion course but I have a feeling that its not the same as studying concept art. So yeah can someone tell me is illustration courses are the same as concept art and are there any special schools for concept art. Thank you!

Hi Ahmed I just saw your ''how I got into art'' video and you asked about our story's and because you probably wouldn't see it if i posted this comment there i thought i'd put it here. So i just wanted to say that i think people like you give me insperation. I mean the art teachers at my school are nice and all but they dont really ''believe'' in me, its not that im bad at art but just that they dont think its posible to make a carreer out of art other than teaching. You help me see that it is posible and that you can do it if you work really hard. My art story is pretty much the same as yours only im just 16. We have to choose a new school next year and i choose an art school. Whenever i tell people about that there kinda like : ''well its not really a real job is it?''. Thats really frustrating cuse no one thinks its a good disition exept my parents. So i geuss i just want to thank you for being a great insparation

You mentioned you were considering throwing in other prizes. That's exciting and really cool for us, but please don't stretch yourself too thin. KZbin can be very time consuming and you're still newish. You've been doing a lot of cool things for this community and we all love you lots, but I worry about that. You can only be expected to do so much. I'm not trying to make it harder for lots of people to participate or have a chance to win.
