THANK YOU for mentioning sibling relationships! If one sibling is suffering, so is the other. I hope treatment is more family-friendly than it was in the 80s! The health-don't-care system in the US is disastrous.

Thanks for sharing Guys! Nice to hear the perspectives from a fellow coaster rider. I wish that I'd been diagnosised much, much earlier. I was 18 when my first major episode hit, and wasn't diagnosed BP2 until I was around 50. That's a hell of a long time to white-knuck through relationships, fatherhood, and careers. Do you guys think BP developes as a coping mechanism to deal with repressed childhood trauma? My parents divorced when I was 12, and I have never really dealt with it, whatsoever. At 64, I still have trouble with waves of unresolved anger and guilt. I'm sure that I would've been dead a long time ago if it wasn't for my children. Keep up the good work!

I am bipolar. So is the weather anc the daylight and night time. I am able to rethink and adjusty thoughts. Mentally Disturbed? No. I am not. I just decided that I can change my mind.
