I'm gonna have to watch another version now i hear how different this was from the original

I don't want to over-emphasize the differences. The story is the same, and all of the scenes are in the same order and have the same subjects of conversation. But, yes, the dialogue is very freely adapted. If you do find a good version available on KZbin, let me know.
