It’s tough man! I was looking the other day and found very few available. I think a lot of people here that had furnished rentals either gave up (you’ll see totally abandoned buildings and apartments in the tourist areas) or switched to long term which could be why there’s very little supply in the market. I would have thought the opposite. Going to be some money to made coming out of this though for exactly those reasons when international travel finally does come back.

Probably because why not? I’ve been watching this guys videos for the past month or so and he seems like a smart guy. I’m 25 and I’m assuming he’s around my age. Similar to him, I found ways to make income remotely but through Customer Success via Tech company instead of marketing like him. Making $70k I’m paying $1100 a month for a decent 1 bedroom apartment in the north east. But a much more modernized 1 bedroom apartment/loft or even a penthouse kinda of place can be had for less or around that ball park in Medellin. Since ya quality of life will increase while spending less, there’s literally no reason to spend more as that defeats the purpose.

I do what's called rental arbitrage. So I rent the place, furnish it towards tourists tastes, and then relist it on airbnb. I do airbnb arbitrage. Which means I rent the units, furnish them, and then re rent them short term on Airbnb and arbitrage the difference in what I pay and what I get on Airbnb.

Hey Jeff, livrealitymedellin has some nice high end units and are easy to deal with as a foreigner
