In my world, Medford replaced Strider in the holy Trinity a few years ago. Its irritating to me when a maker can't keep up with supply and demand, I understand it may happen when a maker is new ,but Strider should have no problem getting his stuff right and increasing production by now if he was concerned with a satisfied customer base.

I've given up on Strider. Closest I'll get is the Protech auto sng. Got my first Medford a few weeks ago, the 187dp, and love it. Don't know when I'll be able to afford another one, but there will definitely be more.

I use a lanyard, approximately 3 ft of 550 cord tied to my belt then my knife. Keeps you from losing your knife when going through thick brush or tight spaces when you have an active job.

My dad is a retired marine. He was never into the flashy stuff, but I bet he’d appreciate this guy’s beauty Edit: he carries a Gerber Mini Paraframe for reference

They are way out of my price range, but love those Medford knives. I can go down the line on their site, and not see very much I don’t like. They are big too, like my hands. Its why the first spec I look for is overall length.

Just FYI I have a video on my channel where I compare all the sizes side by side by side. (Yes I have all the variants). Please check it out if you want more Marauder info.

"Midi" is French for "noon". Doubt that's what the knife is named after though.

So wait... The smaller $450 Medford Hundred uses S35VN.... and this $850 model uses D2 according to blade Hq specs page... $850 for D2?

Just for laughs… if you want to purchase this in Europe it’s over $1300,-

I've heard exactly the opposite about CPM-D2... That the powder metallurgy process is disadvantageous to the composition and behavior of D2, and thus results in inferior performance. I thought that was why CPM-D2 is much less popular. Not trying to call you out, just wishing for accurate information haha. I'm not a fan of D2 (or Medford...) anyway so I don't care all that much

The review is fine and I gave it a thumbs up. However, I don't see the point to knives like these if the goal is to have a knife you'll use. Over $800 for a pocket knife that brings nothing new to the table is a bit of a waste. Knives are consumable and for the price of a couple of pistols, you would never need to sharpen a knife again if that money was applied to a lifetime supply of $20 to $40 pocket knives. Solid lockup, smooth operation, ergonomics, aesthetics, quality materials, and excellent fit and finish are now common place in knives of all price ranges. If someone feels the need to add this to a collection, fine, but I don't see value, utility, nor uniqueness with it. Seems to fall into the category of products sold to fit a price bracket. It doesn't even offer the advertisement of affluence to the ladies like an overpriced watch or car.
