Whatever the case may be, Tipu Sultan's descendants or any other kings' descendants; they all have a legal right to own their ancestral property.The Govt. of India got established a few decades ago. It can't pass a rule that the descendants can't own their ancestral property. The descendants are the rightful owners of their ancestral property and the Govt. has no right to take them. First the Kings ruled and not the Government. Let them have their property back, its their legal right!
