THIS MOVIE WAS CRAZY AS SHIT. This is what happens. Okay so boom… -Beatrice was sleeping with Dennis. Dennis cheated on her with Nikki. This made her go bat shit crazy, have a mental episode, and get put in a mental institute. This also resulted in her brother Forbes getting expelled from college because he took her to the party where all of this went down. Dennis and Ruben told the college dean everything. -Forbes made the body switch machine and visited Beatrice a lot in the institute. Once when they switched, Beatrice (in Forbes’ body) knocked him out and escaped with the machine. -Beatrice (the sister who got sent to the mental hospital) was in Forbes’ body the entire time. Her plan was to get revenge on Ruben and Dennis for getting her brother (Forbes) expelled and her sent to the institution. -Throughout the entire movie… “Forbes” is actually Beatrice. -During the first switch…Beatrice, while in Dennis’ body, transferred all of Dennis’ money to an off seas account. -In the end…Beatrice took Nikki’s body, the machine, and the money she transferred from Dennis and rode off into the sunset. -In the end.. Dennis’ body is dead. He is now Forbes. Dennis (in Forbes’ body) and Forbes (in Beatrice’s body) are who are talking at the end. -Maya’s body died. She ended up in Brooke. (Remember Brooke died in Maya’s body) -Dennis’ body died. He ended up in Forbes. -Shelby and Cyrus are themselves. -Beatrice is now in Nikki’s body. -Nikki is now in Ruben’s body. (Remember Ruben died in Dennis’ body.) Beatrice masterminded the whole thing. She took over Forbes’ body at the mental institute. Went to the party. Initiated the game. Took Dennis’ money and Nikki’s life…and went on her marry way lol. Nikki got left as a man. Dennis lost his looks and money lmao. Ruben and Brooke died. Maya gives no fucks because she’s all zenned out lol. And Shelby screwed over Cyrus, by sending him to jail (remember Dennis called 911 while in Cyrus’ body and said he killed the two.)

I like to think that Cyrus is just being held for the time being. There’s no case against him. Even if Shelby is screwing him over. The police would question everyone at the scene. Everybody else is too preoccupied with their own problems that none of them would have time to work together to lie (Shelby, Dennis). There’s a clearly damaged roof and there’s Dennis and Maya’s bodies who clearly had sex. My head-canon is that while it’s a messy situation and he needs to pay for a lawyer, he ultimately walks away without a double homicide charge.

Guy, Just so you know. Nikki screwed herself over at the end. Shelby had everything corrected. But Nikki (in Brooke’s) body didnt trust Shelby. So Nikki made Reuben (Beatrice) switch at the last minute. Beatrice wanted Reuben’s body to run off with earlier in the movie. But due to the forced switch at the end, she took Nikkis body.

It should've highlighted how horrific and fucked up it was, and maybe even show Cyrus get out of jail because no fking way he'd get actually charged for that, there's clear evidence that the two folks who died, died of an accident.

The way Shelby tricked Cyrus was evil. She gaslighted him. She had to make up this lie of just going into Reubens body and being with her whilst in Nikkis body to live happily ever after and you know she really would've loved to be in Nikki's body, but was tricked by Beatrice when she swapped the plugs, but she took Nikki's body instead and gave the real Nikki Reuben's body and Shelby went back to her own. Also I wonder if Shelby posted the video of Nikki showing the aftermath of destroying the charity company whilst Beatrice is now in Nikki's body.

It feels off in a movie where all of the characters are flawed, yet Shelby is given a sort of unearned favoritism by the plot. It’s like the movie wanted to have the bad ending, but have its protagonist arbitrarily win at the same time. Her ending really clashes with Nikki’s ending for example, it feels tonally inconsistent. Why in a situation where Dennis is the primary target for Beatrice’s revenge does he get off easy by comparison? I really do not think Cyrus & Shelby should end up in their original bodies.

I think that introducing beatrice and her plot really tied to the ending. she got a much better looking body (or the one that dennis screwed and every other guy including cryus wanted to screw) and ruben and dennis got what they deserve by beatrice for how his brother got expelled (but he prospered and became intelligent. so curious if forbes was holding a grudge). Cyrus ending is only something that shelby wanted and put her up there on how psycho she actually was like beatrice. the one really screwed was maya, she got nothing out of this than now being completely zoned out with reality and who knows if she will ever be okay.

You can have it end the same if the tone is shifted and it’s received totally differently. As it stands, Cyrus who didn’t want to keep playing, is treated like the villain. For what? The movie has showed that Cyrus was a gaslighter. “when you walked in on me, its like seeing a spider but then ur like wait it cant harm me”. He is trying to control how Shelby should feel. Later, when Cyrus says he wants Shelby back, his apology is half-baked with lies, he seems ingenuine. Which Maya calls him out for. So Shelby does one last test on him, and he fails. Proving he is a gaslighter. The only reason Cyrus didnt want to get dirty with Shelby in Nikkis body was because he had a headache (i might remember that wrong) but also that he projects his jealosy that Shelby is attracted to Forbes, and his ego doesnt like that. He wants to be with Nikki as Cyprus. Shelby isnt good either, insecure about her looks and obsessed with Nikki. She is unable to help Cyrus not get framed for murder, which is the moral thing. She hasnt come out of this movie a more mature person, she is petty.

One thing I couldn't wrap my head around: On their way to Reuben's house, at about 9 minutes into the movie, Cyrus says to Shelby "I just can't keep thinking about how crazy It must have been being Reuben's mom, living in this house, throwing parties, turning the place into art installations, like, vag***l art installations". However, around the 16th minute mark, while Reuben is giving a toast, he says that after his mom had died 8 years ago, he "had to come here to her house, and decide what to do with her work". What happened there? What am I missing? Are the quirky art installations his or his mom's?

Something doesn't add up, here, because if what you are saying is true, why did Cyrus say "It must have been crazy being Reuben's mom" implying that the questionable art pieces were his and she had to put up with how "crazy" and weird they looked? If what you're saying is true, Cyrus would have said "It must have been crazy being Beth's son" (I don't know her name so I'll just call her Beth here) which would have implied that the art work was her's and he had to live with the "craziness" of his mother's artwork. I know this may all sound silly, but I can get obsessed over the smallest pieces of detail sometimes.

I feel like the unjust endings for most of the characters is what makes the movie so horrifying. It’s worst case scenario to put yourself in their shoes and think about what it would be like for this to happen to you. Not sure the movie needs a sequel but it could also be leaving room for a part 2 where one or more of the characters attempts to track Beatrice down and get their own revenge

Cyrus ended up back in his own body, but he was in jail. Dennis found himself in Forbes' body, now broke. Brooke and Reuben's minds died within Maya’s and Dennis’s bodies. Shelby returned to her own body, likely with the best outcome of all. Maya ended up in Brooke’s body. Nikki landed in Reuben’s body and had to call off the wedding. Beatrice ended up in Nikki’s body, escaping with the machine and all of Dennis’s money.

Technically, nobody should be punished for the deaths because it was an accident. However, Cyrus did bring this on himself because he just can't stop being, as you put it, a dick, even in adverse situations. If you re-watch the movie (which is hard to do because all characters are annoying and frustrating... but that's what makes the movie) you'll see that Cyrus' narcissism won't let him be wrong about anything, ever, and so he talks himself into the retaliation of the others upon himself. As far as I'm concerned, all narcissists at this level should be locked up because (as being like stupid people and/or hypocrites in that they don't know that they are) they will eventually and irrevocably do harm to others. But remember, first and foremost, IT'S A MOVE!

Some of the plot holes that I can’t ignore: 1. How the court put Cyrus in jail so quickly. Given that he is supposed to push two people with enough force to break balcony. 2. Why is it so easy to transfer the money? Unlocking phones is weird enough, but I guess everyone uses face ID these days. That’s bring us to the last plot holes. 3. Why everyone allowed others to use their phone? Not a single person who looked into someone else’s phone realized ‘hey wait a minute, that guy/girl must be using my phone right now’. Especially Nikki, whom everyone described as inseparable from her phone.
