i can listen and watch you forever! I'm usually worried of my attention span because when my husband talks to me or if I watch videos my thoughts drift and lose attention and focus, get easily bored and impatient. I have an ICD 10 from Optum that is softbound. I much prefer it over the ones with the spiral things too.

My school teacher told me that we aren’t allowed to tab our Manuel’s, but I saw on aapc site that they are. I’m taking my cpc in April and want to make sure I don’t have any issues ... please clarify for me

Brittni, I’m self studying myself. Did you take a course at all? I’m PLANNING on taking the CPC exam by the end of October or beginning of November. I literally have LIVED & BREATHED Medical Coding for the past month and a half. I’m praying I pass the first time because I plan on taking the exam at home online! I’m terrified though but I feel confident enough in myself that I’ll be able to properly prepare if I keep going at the pace. Especially since I actually enjoy it 😂. Anyway, hope to hear from u! And Medical Coding Academy: I am SO glad I found your videos! I’m watching them all and adding them to my medical coding playlist. I plan on getting the Buck’s brand of ICD-10-CM AND HCPCS level 2! I had never heard of this brand before. Nor had I heard of PCIM either! Definitely going to check them out too. I know u said you prefer the soft bound rather than spiral and I have mixed emotions about that but I feel like you have a valid point! I hope u are still making videos, as this is an older video now. Keep it up! You have taught me a lot more than anyone else on here so far! So for that, thank u! 🙏

Hello, I have seen a couple of your videos while researching medical coding as a potential career path, and your videos are number one in the searches on KZbin, I was immediately drawn in from watching your video on which exam to take. I have never gone to college because I was never certain what kind of career path to take, for someone whom is interested in taking your 3 day course what would be your advise for someone who has no knowledge of medical coding and is interested in taking your class, is there something I should read up on medical coding to get a better understanding of what medical coding is or do you have a video that explains what medical coding and/or medical billing is?

The tabbing system looks good. There are not many videos that show reviews of the differences in the books. Next time I will be purchasing the Carol Buck books. When we purchase your online program do we get enough tabs for all 3 books or just for one of the medical coding books?

Hi Sandy!!! You can use the tabbing system with PMIC CPT of course however I want to make sure you know AAPC and AHIMA only allow the CPT from AMA...so its totally okay as long as you're not planning on testing with the PMIC CPT :)

i WISH i would have seen this before I bought my 2021 books but all is good. I love the tab system. However I noticed there was one tab called NETTER. I put it where i was supposed to in the BUCK's ICD-10 book but it doesn't make sense but Whatever the Mother of Coders tells you to do JUST DO IT.

I completely agree with you regarding the font in the AAPC books (I have those). If you don't have the best vision, it makes it difficult to see. Also, the pages tend to come loose from the spiral part.
