I love the information here, just one thing I would add is that if you're running as a dedicated medic at bare minimum I would recommend the medgun, couple refills and have a few of each of the pens. The lifeguard attachment is not bad just not good if you're running dedicated medic, I'd rather run a tractor beam attachment or even an oxytorch cutter attachment if the client is stuck.

Put medgel on your armor. You can reload the med gun like a normal weapon.

Thanks for mentioning that self healing is with b. Took me quite some time to figure it out. Also there seems to be no Hotkey for that. On Foot - All: There is a "Medical Pen Incect Other" but not for oneself.

You forgot DeconPen (Canoiodid) - the other Red MedPen - Can't buy it hospitals - you have to loot it at the moment - Use to Relieve radiation based damage effects (when that comes into game)

Just out of curiosity, does a 'patient in the field' need to do anything when on the receiving end of a Med gun? Answered a Med beacon, pointed and clicked to heal with my Med gun (prior to knowing the full info provided by this vid, lol) and the guy went from Limp to conscience and on his back, but nothing happened after that. Now, i'm not entirely sure if the dude was AFK at the time of healing so maybe all he needed to do was 'un-prone' himself but i wasnt sure if there was another step i was missing, hence my asking now for future reference. Wish he had been around though, lol, ended up taking a whomping from the bandits in the bunker and went to prison for my troubles, haha

Yeah he was prolly afk, like ya said. Gotta stay on the move when running them bunker rescues. Right now there's a bug that prevents the rescues mission from completing & paying you out, so it's all for the experience & from the goodness of your heart.

Its also bugged in that the rescuer is still flagged as being in restricted areas (hence me doing my 15 mins in the slammer after dying, lol) Cheers for the reply though!

How to set different Hospital for respawn. For example GrimHex ? Im always respawning in my home planet after dying. And then have to travel to a adiffrent side of galaxy to buy weapons and do missions.

I tried just moving stuff around and assigning certain gear to one of my ships and needless to say the inventory does not do as I want. Obviously server asset management issues need a bit more work.

"Good Nyborg Man". ;-D WARNING: Griefers are using the Med gun to drug you up and have fun pushing you around while you're stumbling (not fun for me). Go immediately to the nearest Med Unit (don't fly) and hope the medical personnel will help you (they didn't me).

Heals tier 3 injuries. More serious injuries require tier 2 or tier 1 facilities.

You can choose to respawn at your nominated hospital/clinic. You will drop everything you had equipped and were carrying.

I don't think there should be an auto dose option on the med gun. It defeats the purpose of learning the correct doses in a given situation. I would suggest making the med gun be forced to take up a sidearm slot and not be able to take the slot the multitool uses in order to have a reason to use the multitool with medical attachment instead of the med gun.
