My first choice was to get my MS at the University of Toronto, but their website says that they didn't want more than 25% studio courses on our transcripts if we wanted to get into their program. I did read that they made exceptions for outstanding students, however does this apply to students who majored in art? Their transcripts would be close to nothing but studio classes, would we even be considered? Is there anything I can do to help my chances into getting accepted into the program at University of Toronto if I did major in Art?

I recently found my passion in science and art and was wondering what should be my major now that I will be working towards getting a BA is either Biomedical Science or Art, then towards a MS in Medical Illustration? I really have my heart set on going to John Hopkins to take their graduate program. It says they take science majors and art majors. I just wanted to know which BA would benefit me more in the field of medical illustration? On John Hopkins' website they have a list of prerequisite science classes needed in order to apply. I am having a hard time find a good Art School or University that would allow me to get my BA is Art and take the needed medical classes as well. Is there any advice you can offer? This is truly my calling. For years I have jumped back and forth form Medical Science to Art never moving too far into one or the other because I never knew what I would do with my degree once I got it. This is it for me. It's a perfect blend of my love for art and passion for science. What school's should I look into? What types of colleges should I avoid? What can I do in my outside life to give me a better chance at being accepted in to the program? I am 24 years old and live in Texas. I have a few art classes and medical classes under my belt and was working towards getting into a Radiography program I really didn't have passion for. What should be my next step? I don't have much money but I was recently invited and accepted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society that I am hoping will help me out with scholarships. Are there any other scholarships I should look into? I am willing to move if that is needed. I just need some guidance to help put me on the right path.

I hope you managed to figure this out! The best advice it to contact programs that you are interested in and see what they are looking for.
