This underscores the importance of mandating that drug and supplement manufacturers clearly indicate the presence of animal-derived ingredients in their products. Common animal-derived ingredients in pharmaceuticals include gelatin and magnesium stearate. Such transparency can significantly improve the care of patients with Alpha-gal Syndrome.

But important is also the delay between eating and symptoms which is non-typical for other food allergies and quite characteristic here, presumably due to alpha-gal connection with lipids and slow release in the GIT. Thank You, NEJM!

Climate change and its affect on the weather DIRECTLY led to the lonestar tick's range increasing. And with it, this problem. Not a long shot. A VERY short and VERY direct one. This is science, not politics. I'm shocked a doctor wouldn't understand that. What's your specialty?
