Congratulations 🎊. Your parents will be smiling down at you now. Thank you for doing them proud and holding the name high. Your dad treated me for typhoid in 2004 in Enugu and since then I never had it till date. May their souls rest in perfect peace!

You even missed the Olopades who are directors at medical centers at the University of Chicago... but ultimately this is limited pride till we make the connection to establish systems for this talent to build medical systems. Imagine the potential income if Nigeria not only to retaining its medical tourism $$$ became a destination within Africa.

Political and unfortunate answer from Ijeoma Akinyuli. In her defense, her mother got the absolute worst of being a hero in Nigeria. So I can't blame her if she "excuses" herself from Nigerian institutional affairs. But as one of our top medical minds, I would have appreciated a more critical analysis of the gap and challenges within Nigeria's medical industry and her theories ob how such gap may be closed, in as much as she for personal and/or professional reason might not lead the charge.

FRAME 19:58 Dr. Ijeoma Akunyili was asked: "Do you think you can replicate what you do in Jersey City Medical Center (U.S.A.) back in Nigeria?" Dr. Akunyili provided a drawn-out, politically-correct response to which the interviewer, satirically, commented: "Nice answer." The truth is that Akunyili cannot "replicate" what she does in America in Nigeria. The Nigerian environment is abhorrently hostile and not conducive for any meaningful talent to peak. These so-called Nigerians in America and other foreign countries success stories, such the Ijeomas, left the shores of Nigeria for a reason; they were fleeing. Asking them to return to the same or worse situation and environmental condition defeats logic and natural sense.
