Medicare & You: Medicare Advantage Plan appeals

Im in a senior home for physical therapy since 2-2-22, when my health ins. stopped coverage as reports on my progress were good...this Home made me call the Appeal and I won to remain longer in the Home. BUT I feel very healthy and strong

My husband and I both have Advantage plans and have no problems with their co-pays, pre-Auths, networks, etc. After all, these items were on all the insurance plans we had through our employment all our lives. However, I have heard that if you're on an Advantage plan, have a major health issue, i.e. stroke, heart attack, etc., and try to enroll later in a Medigap policy, you will be denied, and forced to an Advantage plan for life. Anyone have this experience?

If you had original medicare for 16 years and thought you were signing up for a new supplemental because your previous supplemental raised their fees very high and instead you mistakenly signed up for a PPO, how can you go back to original medicare with a supplemental without waiting until October 2021?

Wow insurances really get away with everything and the government don't do nothing to these insurance company.

Do you care what happens if medication is denied ? Doctors are made to work more to prove that they have prescribed as per my illness?

Continuing; ...I'm healthy and strong all o need is physycal therapy. Why should I stay longer in the place just for PT if I can get this at home?. I feel tricked to.get more money from me. CAN I CHANGE THIS WRONG APPEAL FOR A HOME PHYSICAL THERAPY? Thank you a lot for your help.

Why is a 50 yr old generic drug like amitriptyline 10 mg now a tier 4 dug with a $95 to 100 copay?

I agree that the costs of medicines is outrageous. I think it depends of the Plan and carrier. Probably is Tier 4 in one plan and company but different in another company. It is worth to make a research.

I was urged to sign up for a plan that doesn't pay for 2 out of 4 prescriptions. Also was told there aren't any gynacologists on this plan in the entire city. I'm 80 years old and having problems. Can not drive 100 miles to find a doctor.

Completely incomprehensible and unhelpful. Why is there not just a link to a farm you can fill out and file? I'm talking to the wall.
