I'd be interested in seeing how the eeg is altered by nootropics like modafinil. Or expert meditators

Which one would you recommend more, sleep tech or EEG tech?
@jaredbeckwith Жыл бұрын
I’m a little biased I like being an EEG tech. I know a lot of people who have transitioned from sleep to EEG, or the other way around. Both jobs are pretty similar & I think either one is a good choice.

Do you have some books to recommend to somebody who's interested in building a working eeg setup? I'm just interested in finding out if the signal is noisy, and the electrodes are correctly placed

@@nuovoaccount998 Your best bet is to experiment with my EEG board and electrodes. I can answer any questions you have hooking up the EEG

I found you while looking for a DIY biofeedback machine. Is this similar to what you are doing?

@@sl5311 Yes, I sell a 32 channel board capable of full brain recordings (EEG) and 1 channel EKG for nonmedical use. It includes gold electrodes, paste, prep, everything you need to do recordings. The first kits ship in September, you can order on my website now - aioneeg.com

@@jaredbeckwith Ok, I am looking at ways to improve my working memory as I have ADHD. I have no worry about seizures, etc. I have done biofeedback many times and I have found it very useful but I wanted to just do it by myself and also with my son. I will contact you thank you! Great video and you havea fascinating job too btw.

I’m currently in school to become a Neurodiagnostic Technologist through the military. I will take my registry after the course and become registered. I will have 3 years of job experience after the military and was wondering if it will be difficult to transition to civilian side? Also curious on the average pay in the midwest region (indiana, ohio etc.) Could you also tell me the different careers to pursue in this profession as well! Love the videos and just subscribed!

Great choice learning EEG after the military! After becoming registered you should make around $25/hour. I think you will like this video where I talk about the different career paths in EEG: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4SwYqGffalgsJo

Hello! I have been watching your videos as I am a new technologist! I have been able to properly measure and run a study. However, I am continually getting electrode popping in which there a a long line in the brains wave. I have had other look at my measurements and that does not seem to be the issue. Any suggestions?
@jaredbeckwith10 ай бұрын
Sometimes there is a faulty wire and replacing it fixes things. I also suggest trying to anchor down the wires better. I do this by smearing the paste on the scalp so it sticks good. I know some people put a little piece of gauze to help hold down the electrode too. Electrode pops are unavoidable sometimes when the patient is moving, I would just be worried if it is happening with a relaxed patient.

Alright! I will try that tonight. Thank you!

I’m not sure how to get a job in Europe either. Maybe try emailing some neurologists & hospitals in Europe and ask what they are looking for
