Ice will be your best friend after shoulder surgery or any kind of surgery for that matter. My niece mailed me one after she had her shoulder surgery, when she found out I was having it done. It's definitely been a game changer.

I’m not sure about renting the ice machine. I wonder if Craig’s List, FB Marketplace, or a medical supply store would be options?

Thank you for sharing your experience! I have surgery in 3 weeks, and it helps to know other people's experience so I can try to mentally prepare myself a little, and all of your videos are filled with great information. I'm getting an ice machine, and I'm hoping that gets me off of oxycodone quickly, but I guess I'll find out lol.

I can relate 100%! I’d recommend watching my other rotator cuff videos and letting me know if you have questions! Connecting to others who have gone through this was so helpful when I was in your shoes!

I totally agree on the constipation. I did the 2 narcotics and offset with Tylenol for 2 days then weaned off the narcotic to 1 then was off it by day 4. I drank water constantly and did the stool softener and miralax and milk of magnesia which usually works. A week of so much uncomfortable bowls and it finally gave way. I wanted a suppository but husband got the wrong stuff. Wow it was crazy.

I’m sorry that also happened to you! It was THE WORST. Unless someone has been there, there’s just no way to say the depths of pain and feeling horrible! I hope you are better and healing!

Thank you so much for creating these I'm sitting here I've got 7 weeks in my sling 5 weeks in so far anyway I did see the medications that you had to take and yes I was constipated as well and what I found that worked for me was ducolax I think it's pretty close in spelling two pills every other day you will go to the bathroom perfectly....

Darcia thank you for the great demo of the bregs machine. Just got mine off ebay for my recovery next Wed. Did you have any difficulty with wearing clothing right after? Any specific advice or tips?

Hey! Watch my video of best tips! I have all kinds of advice that I had wished I knew before I had had surgery my first time that made my second surgery go much smoother. I found that wearing spaghetti strap tanks were easiest to pull up over my hips. Shirts that had to go over my head were hard to manage for me. I made my own shirts for my second surgery so watch my tips video for more on that. Best wishes to you!

@@DarciaDarcy Oh cool, thanks Darcia I will watch it this evening. I don't know why I'm overthinking this. You would think just pull over a shirt lol would work but I'm thinking its painful after seeing many youtubers talk about first few days of pain. Thanks again for the tips and video's 👍🙂

Regarding Miralax: in nursing homes, they mix equal parts Miralax with Metamucil. That seems to work much better.
@DarciaDarcy4 жыл бұрын
That’s a great tip. Thanks! I’ll bet a person would need to drink plenty of water also. 😊
