Would you do something on personal hygiene and skin care products? Six month ago, at age 57, I got on a ketogenic diet, lost 50 pounds, got from obese to normal weight, with many side benifits such as greatly improved skin, no more joint pains or migrains. Your videos have been so helpful throu my journey. I have also stopped using schampoo, shower gel, conditioners, lotions etc, just using some baking soda for my daily showers. Also brushing my teeth without tooth paste. Yet one more benifit of my diet I found is better breath and taste in my mouth, people I trust will confirm that I smell perfectly fine, I feel clean and my hair feels great. Yes, I still do wash my hands with soap after going to bathroom and before cooking etc. Would be great if you would do something on how we treat our biggest organ, our skin.

@KenDBerryMD please help me. I have since January been on a keto diet, I used to eat loads of eggs, butter etc and felt great but after a blood test due to low testosterone the docs noticed my cholesterol was at 8.9 NHS UK rating. They then proceeded to slap me on 20mg of atorvastatin and told I must stop my consumption of butter and eggs and if possible stop keto. Ever since my anxiety has gone off the scale. The Cholesterol specialist checked me over saying with a rating that high I will definitely have deposits of cholesterol in my body and proceeded to squeeze various parts of my body. He looked confused as he couldn't find any deposits anywhere but said I need to stop keto and go on statins. I stopped eating butter and eggs, yes it brought my cholesterol down but now I feel lethargic, depressed and anxiety off the scale. I know what I should do but the NHS specialist has scared the life out of me. I know you can't tell me what to do but any advice of any kind what I could say to my doctor etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've taken valium & thiazides (for blood pressure), was taking both every day for 6 yrs and became so depressed I couldn't leave the house. I got off that crap but a few months ago tried low dose THC edibles (1-2mg a day)... it felt great at first. Super focused. Decrease in pain. Mood was boosted & I was motivated. After a week or 2 I felt tolerance kicking in... 2-3 weeks later I was depressed again. It seems like anything that sedates you leads to depression. Maybe the brain just can't produce feel good chemicals like dopamine, when it's always in a slowed state. That's my suspicion. And for people asking about CBD that's all I take now. 50mg a day. I don't notice any depression long term. The only real side effect I get is apathy but l-tyrosine cures that for me.

If low blood pressure is what you need, you have to give physical exercise a try - 10 to 15 min daily. It has like almost the same (and more) positive affects as beta blockers. Also, especially with beta blockers - you don't always have to follow the recommended dose.. most likely, you will only need a portion of the prescribed dosage.

Valium is a muscle relaxer, not an anti-anxiety pill. It reduces anxiety by relievng one of the physical symptoms of anxiety, name muscle tenseness. When your brain senses your body is more relaxed, it 'believes' there is less to be anxious about, and reduces anxiety I only found this out bc I was Rx'd Valium for muscle spasms. The doctor might as well have offered me heroin, I was so surprised. I only take it PRN (5mg, the lowest dose), and never for more than two days in a row. If I take it more often, I frequently wake up irritable or even crying. It's fine for occasional use tho, a 30 pill scrip usually expires before I finish it

You may want to look at 'golden milk' to alleviate the pain at times of crises with costochondritus. It is curcumin /turmeric and milk, but to bring out the highest benefit of this spice it needs to be heated and combined with black pepper and a fat. It actually tastes quite nice, you can look up recipes on line, I found it very helpful for reducing the inflammation which in turn helps with the pain.

What an efficient doctor! Perhaps I SHOULD move to Nashvile, right ? (so viewers have stated on MY videos!)He "states" in the video anything that ends in ZOLE can cause depression too;but it has to be taken after the breast cancer surgery (LetroZOLE 2.5) and I'm taking it for another five years ! I refuse LIPITOR (Statins) but wonder about the Atenolol ? Of Course when I get "depressed", I just go write a sad song, right ? but "something" is making me more tired than before I started both of these... Can't get explanations from doctors at Kaiser- but IF Atenolol is causing depression...it's such a small amt., I figure I'll just cope with it. Bought a blood pressure gage and seeing numbers flip around, now I have to find out what is "normal" right ? And, how much the S. D. and Pluse should be "allowed to fluctuate" to be considered to be 'normal fluxuations." Seroquel keeps me sleeping well (don't see that on HIS list), but since I have great difficulty waking up in the morning, I put a 200mg Caffeine into my , about two cups possible three, of coffee. MD said Ok to take those IF I slowly consume the coffee and don't just gulp the 200mgs. down rapidly. Takes me about two hours to actually "become alert", so I suppose I'm doing that right-however, the BPMachine does show a fluctuation after I consume it ? (That's sort of a question!?)

Why do they give depression especially Parkinsons' ? Is it because they lower Serotonin or because they r AntiCholenergic? I'm surprised that L dopamine can cause depression!...or maybe I misunderstood it? Thanks Doctor for always amazing videos❤👌

Does gastric band surgery have any effect on depression?
@EarthIncompatible6 жыл бұрын
Any surgery is a huge trauma to the body, which can cause or worsen depression. There is newer research that says anesthesia can cause depression, which makes sense because it interferes with neural transmissions. Look up Dr. Emery Brown, a neuroscientist at MIT. He's been researching the subject.

@@KekeeBlack - I think that any pharmaceutical can be dangerous to use. Our doctors believe that these drugs are helping us, but they are really hurting us more because they are chemical drugs and not natural plant medicine. It's sad that our own doctors believe big pharma, and think that pharmaceuticals is the answer and "cure" of our medical issues.

@twoarrows25436 жыл бұрын
I have to strongly disagree that anti-seizures, antidepressants, and benzodiazapines worsen depression symptoms, especially if your depression is neurochemical and is the result of something like dipolar disorder, and yes, do talk to your PSYCHIATRIST before listening to anyone else. My psychiatrist caved into the "benzos are too addictive" hysteria and put me on an anti-seizure, which works fine, but I have to admit, I did much better with my benzo/ antidepressant combo. I disagree that benzodiazapines are addictive. I took a very low dose and never needed to increase and truly felt stable, people even told me my facial expressions looked better. I drank way less too. I'm getting a little suspicious of all the quackery around diet being the cure for everything, and the hysteria over taking the slightest amount of medication. Don't get me wrong, I'm careful with my diet, a lot of foods do trigger symptoms! I do relaxation exercises, I physically exercise. I takes it all to battle my bipolar. My suggestion is find really good health care providers, get smart, and serious about your health and go with what works best FOR YOU! Be it natural remedies, medication, therapy, prayer, or a little bit of it all!
