Medicinal Properties of Clay with Bruising/Injury

We had a friend come over with an ankle that they had broke from school. He (Who asked to remain nameless) wanted Titus to create him a clay poultice to help with the inflammation and pain.

I have had great success with using oils for bruising. Castor oil and glycerin seem to work the best for me. The clay, like you are doing,is great for pulling out the inflammation. Blessings for your ministry.

Just to mention marshmallow again, a website spoke of this woman going to have her leg amputated the next day, but the doctor or someone knew of herbs, where they made a warm poultice of mushed marshmallow, then let it set so long, then put it on again. The next morning the gangrene was said to have retracted and her leg was saved. Seems like she had a bad burn if I recall, regardless gangrene stepped in.

Clay is definitely very useful. If you have a very fine and clean clay, you can take small amounts internally for various reasons (detoxing, some poisonings). You just have to make sure water intake is sufficient.

Omgoodness I cracked up when you told the story of the mud pie! My sister did the same thing to me, only the outcome was a little different. She said “Taste it. It’s good” so I did. Then I ran crying to Mommy with a mouthful of grit stuck in my teeth! She did that to me with salt too. As she poured little piles in her hand and licked it. She told me it was sugar and said “taste it. It’s good”. So I did! And threw up on the floor lol.

I have helped heal a few of these type injuries. I can tell you have a gentle touch, and are willing to wash the saints feet in what ever way necessary. I would highly recommend that it be soaked two or three times a day with Epsom salt and whatever healing herbs you can find. Comfrey, oak, tulip tree bark or roots are good starters. They help with healing and pain. I use the Peterson field guide to medicinal plants for other suggestions.

I have also used clay to suck out the ooze from poison.Ivy or poison oak and it also helps with acne and any oozing infection

You can also soak in a Epsom salts bath and it will help with soreness, swelling and bruising . Another thing is to use a brown paper bag soaked with apple cider vinegar wrapped around area and helps in the same way.

I love this. There is a lot of writing in history from various cultures about using dirt and clay for wounds that has been laughed at by us moderns and sadly overlooked. I found a scientist exploring some dirt on a 'holy site' that was turned into a church (Ancient Fermanagh). The local towns people say putting some dirt on a wound will heal it. Turns out this isn't a myth! The dirt they had was full of a probiotic bacteria of the genus actinobacteria. They are able to make hydrogen peroxide and it's part of the reason why the air smells so good shortly before it rains. The moisture being added to the clay could be activating stuff like that to aid in healing. There's a lot more in natural earth than people realize, and it seems we moderns are the foolish ones. I'm sure there is a lot more we don't know about how this works and more people will continue to laugh at it. It's a shame. Thank you for sharing your experiences and your faith.

Any advice on the physical effects of consuming poison ivy so that allergic reactions will cease? I’ve heard Titus (and others) say that eating a piece can prevent future outbreaks, but I don’t know what to expect when eating it. Will my mouth break out like my arms? Or what can happen? My family already thinks I’m over the edge because I stopped going to doctors. They will surely mock me if a home remedy causes me problems. Bless you!

I believe in natural remedies. In the Gospels Jesus bent down, spit in the dirt and rubbed it on a man's eyes and he was healed of blindness. I believe Jesus could have healed him outright without the poltice. It makes me wonder then, why he did this? I believe it was to guide us to natural remedies.
