Medicine Wheel Beaded Lighter Case Tutorial

What you need:
Strong beading thread or Wildfire thread (nylon thread is fine too)
Beeswax (not necessary if can't find)
Scissors
Beading needles size 10
Regular disposable Bic lighter
Bead colours, White, Yellow, Red, Black, Grey size 10 or 11 czech beads (beads all cut the same size)
If you would like to create your own pattern, the app I used is called BeadsDesign on the App Store.
Colour Pattern:
White = W
Yellow = Y
Red = R
Black = B
Grey = G
Row 1: R, G, R, G, R, G, R, G, R, G, R, G, R, G, R, G, R, G, R, G

Starting the grey rows and it doesn't seem tight. I redid it and kept tightening but still not tight. What can I do?

I did two rows using #11 Czech and its doesn’t fit around the lighter. If I loosen the thread so it fits, there and a big gap in the beads. Help please

Beeswax is flammable, have you had any problems arise from that or is it safe to use for cases on lighters ?

Hello! The bead case I use is called a bead buddy. I got mine at Michael's, but it is also available online on amazon and other stores. I hope this helps!

Hello, Yes, I am Indigenous. If I were not Native, I would not have made this beaded lighter case and content, claiming it was Indigenous beadwork. I understand where you are coming from in accordance with regalia and what we do and do not wear, but the information I have provided does not have any information from teachings I am not supposed to share. All the knowledge I have shared is public knowledge and can be found through various scholarly sources or educational accounts by other Indigenous peoples and communities. I simply do not see an issue with sharing and reiterating public knowledge that is easily accessible with a little bit of searching.
