Thank you for the video! I've had several 4Runners and Toyota pickups. My wife and I are going to look at almost your exact truck tomorrow. 2016 silver with 183,000 mi on it. Mileage is a little high, but it's one owner with an impeccable maintenance history and no accidents, no corrosion (lifelong Southern vehicle), or major mechanical failures.

I've been looking online for used 4runners from 2019-2023 and they are all selling anywhere from 36,000-55,000 dollars lol... I know the resale is strong but some of these 4runners are selling with 30-40k miles for 2,000-3,000 less than brand new 4runner which makes no sense on to why I would buy used unless I go for a much higher mileage 4runner but in that price range I'm trying to stay under 40k miles on a used 4runner.

I understand you completely, but the thing is that many of the Toyota dealers are selling their cars at a substantial mark up, in some cases, as high as $8-$9K above the MSRP.

@@NCblue95 well, I have been trying to get it for last 2 years, but I can’t get myself to pay MSRP +. Haha, when I got to this dealer and I saw around ten 4Runner on their lot and I offer them 49k including tax and registration. they said no and I walked. 4 hours later, they called and told me to come back and pick it up. So check around or drive a little further out. Smaller Toyota dealers seem to be easier to negotiate if they still have 2023 on their lot. Good luck. I think it is a good strategy as we are almost to 2024 and they should be getting rid of 2023. This is my 2nd 4Runner. I bought the 2014 used. It runs perfect, but my wife made me giving it to my son. 😭😭😭

Best interior ever. What did you get your '16 4Runner for? I'd like to stay around $20k if possible. Feels crazy to spend over $20k on a vehicle with 100k+ miles. Just a word of caution: one of my little pit bulls fell out of the back window at 35MPH. I love my dogs and never let them ride in the back of my pickup because I know how dangerous that is. But my 4Runner really caught me off guard. My boy came out of it with just a few scratches, but if another car would have been behind me I don’t think we would have been so lucky. Your truck looks great by the way. Best wishes.

@bri3660 could depend on where u live also. If u live in a northern state then u could be buying something with a frame that is already toast. I live in Canada and just passed on a 2010 for 10k canadian (7250 US) That had 355km on it (220k miles) cuz i couldnt inagine someone could put that much on the odometer eithout the frame being near its end. The way I see it it's better to buy one with lower mileage for more if u can sell it later for more. There's a certain point where ull end up being it's last owner before its a scrap or parts car. If u live in a southern state there's an argument in buying an older one I suppose.

@JOIHIINI8 ай бұрын
@bri3660 would that be a 2nd gen? I hear 3rd gen is the best. It's also small tho. Again depends on where u live and if rust is a factor. If I lived in the states I'd search countrywide. If I found a deal I had to get a cheap flight to buy I'd sacrifice a weekend for it. 4 years ago I bought a 2015 vw beetle with 56k kms for 9500cad, my wife drove it to 98kms and sold it for 17 thousand this year. There's always deals out there, I find more often than not they're on the sites with lower traffic. The more traffic= the more competition. I can never seem to find good deals on fb marketplace anytime I do I msg within 24 hours and they're already gone lol
