But Eddie is a much bigger guy than Peter. People need to go back and check out ASM #300 again. This figure is a great looking figure, but smaller than the "original" Venom, and any Venom after. I honestly don't remember Venom ever be so close in size to Spider-Man. The sculpt and poseability is awesome on this figure, but I think the complaints are justified. The Venom should have been close to as big as the Legends Venom in order to scale with the Spider-Man figure. The Homecoming SM comparison works well, though.

Honestly, I don't understand people's complaints. While I get that it would be nice to be able to fit figures from one line into displays of other lines, that's more like a bonus, not obligatory. People shouldn't expect Mafex to forsake its own scaling just so somebody can comfortably put it amongst Marvel Legends.

Thx for the silicone oil idea - it worked like a charm on his lower abs and his arms. Those were so tight i was afraid to move them, now they work just fine, still not lose but they dont make that squeeking noise and dont put so much resistance.

My mayfax Gambit hip joint was very tight and squeaky.I put salt water in that effect.Lease sand it.I guess I made it super smooth.No issues except the hands pop off like butter, which is a mayfix issue.Besides that the figure looks great mayfix

I’m so glad there are video reviews of this guy. This Venom figure turned out really good. Quite possibly the Venom figure we’ve all been waiting for. And I’m really glad this figure looks like the original Todd McFarlane design. Because honestly, I got sick of the over exaggerated features, such as the roid rage musculature and that...Jean Simmons tongue. *shivers* The original design was obviously the best choice. Also, it’s cool that we get a normal sized Eddie Brock head.

They pretty much shot themselves in the foot by releasing a "comic version" of the Mafex Spidey that's just much better looking than the first one, so now I cancelled this Venom pre ordered & am gonna wait on the better one.

Brock is 6'3 270lbs, so he was physically bigger than Spidey but not freaking Hulk sized like some artists started drawing him as. I think 1/4th inch more on this woulda been a perfect scale for Classic Venom. People need to realize that Mafex does figures in true 6 inch scale while SH figuarts does them slightly below the 6 ' scale. ML 6' scale is more 6.5 scale.

He’s still too small. First Appearance Venom still should be at least half a head taller than Spidey and crazy buff. Eddie was a body builder, this guy looks like a cross fitter.😆

I think the issue with this guy is his calves look a bit thin so he looks skinny. His head is just a bit big but it makes sense if they’re going for that comic proportions.

After seeing Mafex put out their Dark Knight Returns Batman, I honestly think they kinda missed the mark on this figure in terms of overall aesthetic when it comes to the proportions. Venom's first appearance showed him being very stocky and muscular, with a 2.0 revision they should do a re-sculpt and make him more accurate to the source material. He kinda looks like Spiderman 3 Venom.

I would probably go in for this if it wasn't for the blue highlight. Venom is not blue. Venom is all black. Blue was often used by comic book colorists to indicate light reflecting off of his glistening, jet black body, or to suggest dimensionality where he would otherwise look like a silhouette. It wasn't meant to suggest his color is literally blue. Thanks for attending my TED talk.
