damn. this is excellent. Mafex aces the test when you expect them to do poorly and gets a B- when you're expecting high performance. I'm also excited for the battle damaged version.

I also agree with you about the Mafex Hush Batman. It looks good but this TDKR Batman really looks superb. It's a must collect for Batman fans and action figure fans in general. Thanks for sharing your treasure.

I'm not really a DC/ batman collector ,but if I was this is the batman I would collect, he looks good, would like to see somebody make a batman beyond figure, with an older Bruce Wayne. Great review.

Yeah when I get my Japan imports I have an option to put it in a “private warehouse “ and I wait until I have more than on or two then I ship to reduce the price. Works out great. Nice review.

Good review. Gotta get this Batman. Imo the Hush Batman fig is one of the best depictions of Batman ever. However, this Frank Miller Batman is my favorite. He's a gritty, mean Batman. I want to pose him with the Kill krew Punisher.

Thank you for the review, I've watched so many but this review is co calm and measured its a breath of fresh air. Your critique of the Hush figure is spot on in my opinion I've been kind of amazed at all the love its been given, The Dark Knight is a step up without a doubt .I've pre-ordered the other two versions because I'm a sucker for the blue and the grey.I REALLY hope we get a Kelley Jones version as his design is woefully unrepresented in figure form apart from a couple of Red Rain Vampire figures but the world needs his regular Gothic all cape long eared masterpiece on its shelf. Man, I'm still waiting on BBTS to get the Hush one to send out to me. I'm so far behind on these imports, I should just order from these japanese sites instead.

Yeah, order from AmiAmi...that's a good one. I started using them early this year. I get these figures long before US retailers like BBTS get them, plus I save $20 or so. Not to mention, shipping is about 3x faster compared to BBTS. But yeah, got my Hush sometime last month, and my DKR Monday of this week.

Some of these I wait for when it "releases" here and think it'll be faster just to order it from a US retailer. I think preordering on sites like the one you mentioned is what I'm gonna have to do from now on; feel stupid for not realizing that sooner.

Well actually you could say 9 out of 11 if you include their movie Batmans as well. The 2 duds being the original and ver.2.0 of their dark knight figures. But then they have been made redundant by ver 3.0. So you could say all 9 different representations are decent.

Great review Boog! I'm curious about the left leg being longer than the other one. I've check every other video of this figure on KZbin and apparently everyone except Unparalleled Universe has this same issue, although you are the only one who mentions it. At first I thought it might be a slight elongation of the knee joint itself but after close examination of some of the reviews on Japanese channels that do not present this problem perhaps... could it be possible for the left knee joint to be tucked in a little bit more into the thigh so that the sculpt of all three elements (thigh, knee and calf) fits closer together? Mhmm... I wonder... (wink, wink, wink would you mind pleaaaase?!) xD

As a definitive DKR figure the Mafex looks the best! However, the better looking figure is the Mezco Supreme Knight. The Supreme Knight makes the Mafex look like a piece of cheap plastic.
