Medicom Toy Detective Comics Batman Hush Black Ver. Action Figure Review MAFEX

To be honest this Medicom Toy Detective Comics Batman Hush Action Figure is everything that I wanted and more. I knew that I was going to enjoy the figure once I got my hands on it, but I didn’t know that I was going to enjoy this much. This is easily my definitive Batman figure. Any fan of the character will enjoy having this in their collection and I can assure you you won’t be able to put it down once you first pick it up. I have been messing with this guy ever since he came in the mail today and I am going to continue to do so. At this point I cannot wait to see what Medicom/Mafex is going to do with the rest of this line. I’m stoked for Superman, Catwoman, Hush and The Joker. For the longest I was afraid that with this figure being pushed back it had something to do with manufacturing or possible quality control issues. I am very happy to say that is not the case at all. The only thing I would say to any collector is to watch how you pose the Cape because sometimes the wiring can pop out. Other than that, this figure is a solid 10 out of 10 for me. Idk what it is about the black and grey but it just looks like a better proportioned figured. That said I can also tell it is the same mold.

The cape on the black one is thinner, and smoother texture wise, that's why it doesn't bunch up as much, or at least that and the painting are the differences I can see on mine.

I was going to get the blue version, but then I saw that the black and grey version was coming out so I pre-ordered that one instead. I got mine earlier this week and it's really a fantastic figure. He is a lot of fun to pose. Mafex did a great job!

Same exact figure except for the cape, they made some fixes on how the wires were inserted, the fabric (I removed the wires on the black variant and it still drapes perfectly, while if you remove it on the blue one, it looks puffy because the fabric is not as soft or fine as the black), the black has finer texture, and obviously the color and the swapped accessories which is not on the original variant.

This one is going to pose much better. He doesn’t come with as many accessories, but I do think that the fun factor for this one is higher. Personally I would say that you can’t go wrong with either if you only want to stick to one. Give this guy a shot. You can always sell it and get your money back if you don’t like it

The cape looks better but it's still so much cape. If it was like 20% less in terms of material especially around the neck area it would be perfect. I think it just looks better because it's black and black is more form fitting and just looks better visually. Black in terms of material is deceptive. I can't wait for the hush Superman though. Man he looks perfect. I think the black version though looks like he has thicker thighs. The muscles look thicker on the black version on his thighs.
