I don't get that glint in my eye. I think you work damn hard for your finds Nigel and you deserve the recognition. Yes you could buy them but you wouldn't be able to say, 'i did that, I was there'. Finding it yourself gives it much more intrinsic value too, I think, as you walk through the fields of our ancestors. Congratulations Nigel, beautiful find.

Yes the buckle would have been flash in its day. Must have been before the Puritans came along! Would have been frowned upon. They did ban Christmas.

Hi Nigel , love the buckle shame it was broken ah well , and i have given a couple of talks locally and the first question is always how much is it worth !! not how old or who is it !! and the havet got any idea how much hard work or how many days , months or years it takes to find all those lovely finds , anyway nice video pal ATB Rob .
