The latest patch nerfed hunting out of existence... With the new rates, it will be over a year until she hits level 4. My hunter was level 8 when the patch laned... It's been about 4 years in game... He is still level 8. My survivalist went from level 5 to 9 in that same time. Note: The wooden campfire disappears over the season change. The stone campfire will stay as a permanent fixture of your village.

I enjoy the added realism of the different temperatures and some winters being colder. It can be a challenge when you're broke, of course, but I agree that the attention to detail is really wonderful. I do usually keep the Breathtaker knife for myself. The coin is always tempting, but I like never having to buy or make another knife again because the Breathtaker has so much durability.

Hey, you said you have so many feathers, why not craft a bunch of crossbow bolts to sell, 10 sell for 35 and just take sticks and feathers, could be a nice side income since they weigh virtually nothing (will post on a more recent ep too)

I think you will need a gate into horse and donkey paddock before you put a worker in there or they will not be able to feed them

I prefer games that have realistic survival elements. And in games that dont have it, I like adding mods to make it more realistic.

Congratulations on the new colt. Glad you made the coins you needed for taxes. But if I'm correct, you are not growing any crops at the moment. I don't know what your farmer is doing though. And it's hilarious that you have a fascination with names that start in Bog. Your wife is Bogna, your lumberjack is Bogdala, and now you have just recruited a hunter named Bogodara. 🤣🤣

Random bit of trivia if you're interested. The game was made by Polish developers, and the word 'Bog' in Polish means God. Dala means give, and Dara means gift, so these names roughly translate to "God given" and "gift from God" respectively. Bogna I think means "of God/pious" I'm guessing these would have been reasonably common names in medieval Poland, though I'm not sure if they'd be common today. Still, it's funny seeing so much bog in one town.

@@minibrownliger That's pretty cool. Poking around in my ancestry, I found a Gr-gr-Grandmother (I think it was only 2 greats, might have been 3) named Bronislawa. (Which is also Polish and means "defending glory").. I never knew that about "Bog" names. :)

Smithy = Axe. Sewing Hut = Hoods. Farming = Oats/Rye rotation for flour. Once you get flatbread it just makes it that much more profitable or oat rolls if you have eggs.

Also, fur is the WORST. It only wastes the value of the other resources it is used in and wastes the time of the villager gathering it... imo

So glad to see you keep going bro !! love the videos !! as for quests, just the side quests are seasonal, the ones from story quests never expire. Now, if I may come with a suggestion, you should start solving the work related issues (shown in the top left corner via an anvil icon), and that's because as you expand your settlement they will multiply and will become hard and time consuming to solve later and that will become frustrating (at least it did for me).

I always watch you doing small talks with people to check their skill, but if you ask it more than once they tell more about their skills. Even when a good farmer with a lvl 3 will say they're good in tracking prey when they also have a lvl 3 hunting

Hey m8 I'm so jealous of you going to HK it's on my bucket list, lmao anyway just wanted to point out that you can turn in Quest after dark, as in even when they are in there beds once you have quests' to finish you can wake them up. Putting it off till the next day is a waste of time and why you forgot the Breath-taker quest. Also you should have sold the axes when you went to the next town. You seem to play like there are only vendors in only one town, you do the same thing with the mines, at this point you should be copper and bronze everything....and when you get back from you trip, you can get a jump on iron by going to the mining town in the southwest and cleaning out all the iron from the mine, each season, there along with the copper and tin its not stealing if you mine it yourself. Breathtaker has a durability of 2000 and will not lose any as long as its only used as a skinning knife. using it for combat will cause it to take durability loss. enjoying the vids man =)

The realism... I dont think it is realistic to make you need a bath every day or so. Bathing would have been once or twice a year and certainly not in winter. Also taxes would have been due to the local lord at the end of summer or the start of autumn after the grain harvests were in. It seems odd to me that they chose spring as the month to pay taxes.. but it is only a game, so it doesnt really matter. Once the herb hut is going it will be worth checking that the resource storage down below is in range. If it is not then the worker will have to deposit their work into the chest in the herb hut and you will have to transfer items between the resource storage and the herb hut yourself as required. That hunting outpost looks great btw. very nicely done.

A name like the Breathtaker sounds like he stabbed a lot of people in the back with that knife. When you stab someone in the back in certain areas, the victim sighs rather than screams, because you cannot scream that well when your lungs have been punctured. I am pretty positive someone will let me know if I am wrong.
