The old medieval strat was take castles and coastal cities as you deprive them of trade and elite units. you have a good strat fighting on bridges but always withdraw your men outside of arrow range. A lot of you causalities were their archers shooting your defenders

Good point, perhaps we were a little too close. This expansion is very effective at creating some bloody battles, even a bridge defence can be costly!

If you lose you cant keep your prisoners. So that, plus the replenishment, meant that retreating was a disaster. Pretty sure vanilla Med 2 works that way. I saw you should go for it. Be bord and ry and take the castle. ith Guy retrained and the armies in Jerusalem on defense, you should be fine, and then you have three armie to move with for the lsat two Egyptian settlements.

Well bugger, that really was a poor move. Of course it was necessitated by the enemy army refusing to attack, bloomin' path-finding! We should definitely go for it I agree, Egypt clearly need to be dealt with before we can turn toward Baghdad. They will never stop throwing men at us until they are completely wiped out!
