Hi there, thanks so much for making this video. Unfortunately, I followed your process step-by-step, and my SSHIP launcher still says that kingdoms.exe isn't in my folder. Would you happen to have any other or follow-up tips that may remedy that? Not sure why it won't work. Thanks again!

@@ThingThings i had it too! but i know what I did wrong. when you extract the files make sure the destination path (location) ends with: mods/SSHIP and not mods/. because then you don't actually extract them.

The K in Kingdoms is supposed to be lowercased.

Remove the "exe", it should just say "kingdoms"

Hey I had the same issues. I just tried renaming the file Kingdoms (just Kingdoms without .exe at the end) and it worked, hope this helps.

I will admit I did use cheats (money and quick build) to just build up my capital but i doubt that should impact the game?

ok found 6.3 in with 6.4 got it in to Steam done the kingdoms thing . when i launch it appear to be working but after about 10 second s it just stops.

hit a problem. I have a new PC. I dont have 6.3 and 6.4 downloaded on it and in your tutorial you have and you use those files. I cant find 6.3 to download anymore. looked at the HIP files i downloaded and dont know how to proceed in installing them

The creators say that for windows 10, it needs to be installed outside the program files folder and made windows 7 compatible. Any idea how to do that? I can't seem to make it work, the guide at the forums is not detailed enough for me to follow

@@Stratega_Digitalis I just did it the standard way at first, but tons of crashes resulted with the turn 300 being a total breaking point where I couldn't even load a save without a crash. The devs have said that the process outlined in my comment above will reduce crashes related to virtual store, but it's a little confusing to me as to how to actually do it.

Diplomacy is totally broken in this mod.. you cannot get alliance in early campaign and even if you crush your enemy they won't accept to be your vassal..!

There are a bunch of videos about diplomacy in Medieval 2 on KZbin but in terms of creating vassals, it's all about reputation. You have to be constantly creating allies and never starting wars in order to maintain a good reputation, make sure that if you ever enter a war, make sure your reputation is at least reliable and that you have a bunch of allies fighting the war with you (not necessary but it helps). At this point the AI will find it beneficial to become your vassal because you aren't a psycho murderer that destroys towns and stuff and will become your vassal. This also applies to vanilla and i've found getting vassals very easy as England, I once had 4 vassals which were France, Hungary, Scotland, and Moors.

you will need it at some point deep in campaign it also helps a lot. it's a simple thing to do and totally worth it.
