Mr. Dibbs is such a fine horse in his lines and deportment; that coat - ! Mon dieu, it's as glossy as a bowl of plums. I thoroughly enjoyed your interaction with that grand horse. I think you're quite right about the saddle proximity to his crest. The saddle itself is exquisite. There's certainly something to be said about custom-made items; yes, expensive, but the workmanship and detail poured into many of those items can still be enjoyed to this day. There are some wonderful examples of 15th & 16th century saddles in the Wallace Collection. Thank you so much for another delightful episode, and I hope we see more of Mr. Dibbs (although all of your horses are handsome creatures and with distinct personalities!). Have you any horses - a Paso Fino, for instance - trained to amble? It would be lovely to see you demonstrate this in addition to the warhorses. Dad had an oval swimming pool constructed that had an island so the horse had to swim in a padded lane, he would stand in the center of the pool to lead the horse and motivate it to swim.
