Family outing on BKR. nice to see Andy and your dad. It is a tradition to hang the guidon or regimental flags in a church once retired or replaced with a newer one.

Yes it was an interesting building with many wee historical nuggets, definitely worth a visit. It was a cool outing, the landscape around Dunkeld is amazing 😎🏴🏰🏞️⛰️

The Yew trees were also kept for the wood to make bows (if I am remembering correctly). Placing them on sacred ground insured a long time home for a long lived tree & provided a potential defense opportunity under god’s watchful eyes. I really love learning about plants & how ancient peoples used & lived with them. They didn’t have a world of modern day convenience’s, they made the natural world around them stocked to supply them with unknown needs for the future. A thing we should go back to imo.😉
