@@AlphaCastorpeople consider our dynastic era to be ancient, but in a literal sense it is not ancient relative to our whole history lmao. Shang and Zhou, those are very ancient times, pre imperial. Even older is the Xia and Three Sovereign Five Emperor period. Those were 4000 years ago, that is ancient. Ming (last actually good dynasty of imperial rule) is hardly even medieval, it was early modern really. You could say Ming era is still ongoing even but that opens up some deep sht.
