Bro I bought a 4th floor barya for 150 exalts and it was COMPLETELY cooked, like damage down, monster health up, etc. and the room right before the final boss I happened to get the one that makes you immune to all damage in the next room and holy shit did it completely save the run that I would have failed for sure. I mean, it was so cooked it took me like half an hour to dps that thing down. Got my 4th ascendancy by pure luck alone. :D

I had one run where I got railroaded into that one and then it forced me into -40% damage done and immediately followed by +50% enemy life. The "no energy shield" one it forced on me a bit later was the icing on that shit cake I got forcefed 😶

Big tip: Get 2 relics that increase dodge roll distance. Dodge roll has iFrames so you can blast through trap rooms and not take any damage. It turns trap rooms into easy mode.

I don't think they do have iFrames. What dodge does to is make your hitbox very small, which make it much easier to go through the gaps in some of the traps.

@@MrJudicater Well it doesn't have s. Try it on a bosses slam attack if you want. Arbiter of ASH would be completely different if you could dodge his one-shots with s. You can be the first person to dodge roll that attack. The slow fire beams in trial are a lot of small projectiles, so you can often slot between them with a dodge roll. I don't know if it's actually possible to be hit with a projectile while rolling, that may be the case since they reduced the dodge hitbox size to 0, whatever that means, way back.

@awesimo4684 bosses have unblockable attacks that cannot be dodged. This drill even works in Trial of Chaos with the corrupted blood beams. You can dodge right through it.... well, maybe you can't, but I can.

I haven't done the third and 4th ascension points yet because for a while I kept rerolling when I got to maps to try out different classes/builds. But I like trial of Sekhema way more than Chaos trial. Thanks some of the tips in this were things I didn't know and I am finally going for my third group of ascension points soon. This will be helpful. As far as first two ascension runs for new players my biggest and best tip is just go in over leveled by 8-10 levels and you will breeze through. Those first 4 points aren't THAT huge of a buff that you require them to progress. Overleveling the trials takes the stress off while learning them.

if you got two +3 merchant relics its almost 100% you will find 50% price reduction by the end of second floor. From there you can buy whole house each time.

This, very much this. Lowering merchant prices is so important bc it scales very quickly into you just clearing the whole sale, regardless of the options. Increasing the choice count ups the chance for you to find that boon early, and it trivializes your run very quickly. Another tip I have is to only take 2 three slot length relics with 31-35% honour resistance, getting you to ~65%. Most of the time you're gonna get the 30% increased effect of relics boon, pushing your resistance to 75% easily, and saving one suffix worth of honour resistance is a lot in a scenario where you only have 6-7 of them. Technically, you can take it one step further and sit on 75/1.3≈57% Resistance (requiring only one three slot and one two slot relic), but you'll be on a higher risk of dying before you get said boon, or you might even get lower resistance bc of the affliction which lowers the effects of your relics. My build can perform even on that lvl, but you might need to test the waters first before relying on it.

That's not true. I do sekhema's with +15 merchant relics and got 50% price reduction in the first shop only in 6 out of last 20 runs. Btw, when you have many +merchant relics, shop starts to be partly filled with relics instead of boons, so you have a chance to buy some valuable relic with all your excess sacred water, so it's good anyway.

Great Video for Starting Trials. You should look deeper through the Relics an Relics Quantity to really max out an run. Here is some ideas to max out ;) Relics drop Quantity for Double Drop of Zakoh (If you go over 100 Quantity with Relics got Seal or Urn ) Relics which reduced Merchant and adds choices (imo most important for smoove runs i add 2 Amphora lef and right side with " 2 Choices added / 7-10% Reduced Market Price) Relics for Honour Resis/Max Honour is key to survive but once you know the mechanics you dont need as much as you think imo

It'd be nice if GGG actually fixed this trial on PS5. It's been 2 months, and on PS5, if you fail the trial by losing all of your honour, it locks the game. The only way to restart is by closing the game down entirely and reloading because GGG forgot to put a restart button prompt on the failure screen. As somebody who is new to POE, this trial took me a few goes to complete, and having to restart my game every time I failed was a huge pain in the arse!

@sollideli can't get to a waypoint to make a new instance. Can't do anything once you fail after losing all of your honour. The controller is literally dead in your hand, aside from the PS button (and I'm assuming the Xbox button according to the comments above) that allows you to go to the dashboard. This is the issue. The game is going on in the background, and the message that appears telling you that you failed appears, but there's no button prompt (press X/A, etc) to get rid of that message to allow you to restart or go back to the waypoint. You literally have to close the entire game down and load it back up if you want to continue playing or try again.

My advice as someone who grinds trails: You have to make a build that can kill Zarokh under a minute, before he starts his fase 2. (Single target build) Without needing any boon. The final boss really is the only hard thing in the trails so when you can beat him easy and fast you just have to play the rest smart. There's a lot of corners in hour glass where if you stand there no one chases you, one mob wil spawn close to you just far enough to reach it without moving. Those are free rooms I call them, just look for a corner and you'll see. My relics have 77% resistances, 70% max honour, 200 honour after killing a boss and 90% to boss damage. Target rooms with water fountains and avoid inflictions.

Great video! I think this trial is a great mechanic. I have the 4th ascension yet to do, and was wondering about the relic priorities. You confirm that after honour resistance (which you absolutely need to cap at 75% starting at 3 floor runs) the priority should be merchants. I knew about the tip that you can skip the pledge affliction if none of the options are benficial, but I didn't know the subtlety between "on entry' and with reward! This is huge! Anyway, this is why I love Path of Exile! The game is there to be broken 😄 It's a puzzle, I love it so much. My goal for tomorrow is to do my 4th ascension. May be I'll rip, but I have to do it now 😀

Relic priority is generally personal preference, but mine is a healthy balance of Honor Resist, Max Honor, Increased Defense (these 3 for survivability), Bosses take increased damage, hits against you have reduced crit chance (these are optional but very handy), See (1-3) rooms extra, Extra trader choices, Reduced trader price (these are also very helpful but usually are stuck on the super big 1x4 relics). Hope this generally swayed you in a helpful direction, I know it's still a lot of choices

Just recently got the 4th ascension, was so stoked! Your tip regarding merchant + options on relics - def gunna try this for time-lost farming really good suggestion, I’ve totally overlooked it on relics but will hafta check the locker to see if I even have a tapestry with that mod. Also too: and this might be annoying for some and slows things down. But after competing a room (and depending on the room) I tend to go back to farm lingering mobs and breaking pots/opening chests for rolls on sacred water drops. This isn’t always game changing and there is the danger of potentially getting hit, but getting the extra bits of water can mean having _just enough_ for an extra merchant boon, although I would avoid doing this on floor 4.

if you struggle to beat it for the first time get a level 75 Djinn Barya, I think they drop at maps with tier 11 waystones, or buy one from trade the first floor will be level 75 monsters. I think level 75 is the lowest that gives 4 floors. correct me if I am wrong.

Finally finished it tonight. Been trying for days. Monsters take 20% more damage is good, so is honour restored on room completion, there's a lot of rooms. Hares foot is good because then you can take the 15% reduction and it won't hurt your speed. Same with see rooms ahead.

My 4th ascension run was the worst but somehow I managed with lots of luck... I had golden smoke and red smoke so all I was able to see was just the afflictions I could get from each room so I was avoiding all purple rooms. :D I got super lucky and had a rabbit foot and 50% damage bonus and blasted through the last floor.

Speed is incredibly important on relics to farm this. There is a 40% increase from the merchant and also a boost to ask of your relics... if you have stopped relics, you can easily be hitting 120% increased speed.

For doing the trial in a party, the honour loss when hit on a player is shared to other players too. So if you never get hit because e.g. lot of evasion, if the other player get hit more, you still lose honour.

I tried the 4th ascension trial for the first time earlier today. Had >75% honor resist, 14k max. First 3 floors were a walk in the park... The only problem with the run being the traps/trap rooms coming up more than average... I fall in the category of people who thinks they don't belong in an ARPG. The net result was that i lost, maybe, ~1k honor over the three floors as I would slide in to the various traps, trying to navigate from tiny safe spot to tiny safe spot (Hint: I have since tried WASD movement for the first time... Its a radically different and better game. I'd argue the difference is on par with controller vs M&K in Counter Strike. I suspect the entire game, has been balanced around WASD, and I strongly urge anyone who's not tried it yet, do so!) Anywho... so I start floor 4 with 12k honor in the bank with no afflictions to worry about... Easy peasy, surely...? Well... the First enemy in the first room of the 4th floor nuked all that honor and ended my run in only two hits and within seconds...Barely had time to register the fact the first chunked me down from 12k to 8k honor, before the next one sent me packing.... Not a scooby-do.... Not sure if a bug (and/or lag. And/or unloaded or culled enemy or trap).... bad difficulty scaling (though, I don't see it being this given the rest of the game is well balanced).... or misunderstanding on my part in terms of the mechanics... (I mean this is entirely possible as I don't listen /read any NPCs dialog...)

Was it the pot guys? In floor 4, they shoot a machine gun artillery of bright balls that absolutely shred. You are just required to focus those above all other mobs as they instantly die but also do insane damage.

I was on a great run about half way through floor 2 and then I decided to take the merchant with a random affliction...bad idea😢 I got the affliction "you have 0 energy shield" I'm all energy shield so it ruined my run, my honour went to the hundreds. Just horrible so be careful ppl!🎉

as far as the party loot goes you can change it in the group window, free for all / short / permanent allocation. Also the pledge that gives you 3 minor boons and Death toll is a huge win if you have honour resistance and a plus as a armour stacker. it will deal 900 damage reduced by honour resistance and armour on the charachter

One other thing worth mentioning is that you don't have to do the trial all at once, no? And that you can bring up the room map tree at any time with the hotkey for league mechanics. I think they need to do a bit more work on it, balance-wise. Like l don't think "minor" means what the designer thinks it does ;) No way is losing your primary defensive stat a minor thing (unless it is armor, hehe). They need to add some "major" boons/afflictions, recategorize what goes where, and probably have it be somewhat smart (losing armour for an ES build is minor/not-an-affliction-at-all). I think melee (the real kind, not quarterstaff) still needs some work in the honour department. The "change the deal" option also needs work. It's typically garbage. Yes, you can get rid of a bad affliction, but if you don't have that, well, are you going to risk bricking your run on it giving you a random affliction? So it becomes a blank node, then which is still better than a guaranteed affliction. But what it says, about changing the parameters, and what it does, swapping one bit of RNG for another, aren't the same. And it should have some changing parameter options mixed in, that aren't related to the generally available boons/afflictions. Also, I think guantlets suck. Maybe some people like them, but I'd be willing to bet they're the exception. Ascendancy-wise, you should only have to run 1 trial to unlock yours and get 2 points. For the rest, you should get one point per act completed. The current system of tying it to the trials doesn't result in the "accomplishment" that the devs seem to think, but instead, frustrates far too many players and results in mass carrying services. It's a bad idea requiring those high level trials to get the points, and it needs to be dumpstered.

I recently went back to them and done a few runs. I'm lvl 93 with really good gear so the trials are trivial but I found the rewards to be really hit or miss. Where as the chaos trials always give you soul cores and fates worth something, these ones often times don't give you anything of value, there is a chance you win big with some of the unique but I'm yet to see an item worth anything more than couple ex

On the party restriction note: in social settings -> party, the party leader can set the (loot) allocation to "free for all" to make every item accessible to everyone except some specific ones like maps (which usually goes to the owner of the instance) and items pre-allocated for all present players (like skill gems) iirc. If you're with friends who don't snatch that divine orb on sight, this option is more comfortable.

It gives a feeling of rogue like on this game, and it is awesome! The point is that players that likes rogue like will love, players that don't like rogue like will not be pleased. If you can beat floor 4 consistently you can make some good money just running trials. If you have high dps and can kill the boss easily you can even sell carries

A couple of other random tips: * For builds that use Energy Shield, the Lustrous Lacquer boon is very powerful. It increases your ES by 50% which also translates into increased honor. * Rooms with Blessing of the Wind are some of the best in the trial. The blessing removes a random affliction and gives you a random boon.

i still haven't completed 3rd ascendency, was done with that place. im a casual player only do 2 maps a day after work. hope they will change it a bit when the game launches. for instance; you cant get 4 trial keys until you completed 3 trials.

Close to level 80 on my Infernalist Necro and I've given up on running the trials, even to finish the Ascendancy. It would only give me ~32 extra spirit anyways.

I was 92 before I did my 4th ascend. I wouldn't worry about it. And 32 spirit is huge. That's another entire aura buff like Ghost shards or Grim Feast.

Finally got to 'endgame' and started mapping and I got my drops to ascend. I have a few questions. 1. Does it matter if you do the trial in normal or cruel? 2. Do you lose the token to run the trial and experience every time? When I was doing the trial for the first set of points I never lost the token until I actually beat the boss. thanks in advance.

normal or cruel doesnt matter, matter is level of trials should be around 80 and you lost a token on lose, you didnt lost it because it was quest token and it was highlighted green

Getting increased max honor is only useful if your evasion isn't high enough. High damage is very important... but silver tongue and increased sacred water are the best boon in the game. assassins dagger is the worst... so if you get the boon that makes your next boon a greater... taht's the one to go for.

The run is not over if you fail on last boss on collection phase, just log out fast and retry

Hey, I made an elemental monk build, like 5 or videos back. that's like 90% of my build, big changes since then are adding the "hands of wisdom and action" unique gloves and getting more raw stats scales damage well. also getting good rings with "adds 1-60 lightning damage" give a ton of damage

Djinn is just pronounced gin, like the drink. It's an Arabic word for basically non-human spirit. I think the French spelled it that way which they pronounce it the same as gin, just like Genie.

Use a vaal orb to get a 3rd socket and alter the stats but it can brick the item

It is 'optional'. The other option currently is the Trial of Chaos which some hate more than the Trial of Suckehmas. Trial of Chaos keeps crashing on me so I really only have one 'choice' atm. GGG will add a third option later too (though it seems worse than the first two at first glance imo)

For accendencies it's better to do chaos trials, takes like 15 mins for the whole thing. Ofc there are the unique items exclusive to trial of suckmyass.

I never bother with honour res, better to juice the merchant and get all the buffs. 300+ runs completed.

A couple of notes: If you're playing with a friend, ONLY the one who initiated the trial can pick up relics. Period. The only way to give your friend any relics is to pick them up and then drop them. Also, Only the person who initiated the trial unlocks their Sekuma altar slots on completion. So if you help your low level friend ascend and don't let them initiate the trial, thier altar will still be locked up.

Always check the gold chests of the 1st bosses. There are times you can get timelost chest there. Its always beside the next floor entrance so a glace is good.

I couldve smashed through for my third ascendency points but the damn game keeps lagging and the traps is what got me. The enemies dont even touch me because they explode in groups with my deadeye herald of thunder/ice. Its the damn connection and the traps working together

fyi you can roll through all the traps except the mines and they dont hurt you at all. Once I realized that those trap rooms are a joke.

yes they can do fine on 4th floor doesnt matter what build you are but you need lots of dps for single target. eith hammer of the gods or perfect strike to nuke down boss. warrior also has access to reduced slowing potency of debuffs on the passive tree which will help with the final boss. you can also get it on relics as well. its a suffix

Are non-unique relics one-time use each time you activate them? Also, when running with a group, do you share honor? When my partner gets hit, does it hit my honor?

I've group run the trials, not recommended. You each get your own honor bar depending on health and energy shield, but if anyone gets hit it depletes every person in the groups honor bar. So realistically you have to watch out for the lowest persons honor bar.

You can reuse non-unique relics as much as you want

yeah i think if 1 person gets hit, you both get hit, so you'll be held back if someone is super low level. You both have sperate bars with different honour amounts. And yeah non-uniques can be used forever, once you have good ones, you're set!
