Hey Joe, I didn't try that Helios, but if you ask me, i600 is the best buy scenner! And plus Medit support is more than amazing, that alone is worth the money!

Agree on scanning strategy but it's not that relevant with some scanners and software.

Which scanners are you referring to? We also got the feedback that with more scan passes the data would be more accurate. But then you start getting bigger and bigger point cloud meshes that are harder and harder to process. So I think an optimized scan path is beneficial for all scanners.

Scanners like old generation of Trios, Itero, Aroal 3 have wider scanning area or option for wider scanning field which gives better precision and/or accuracy of full arch scans. This is my research based and not a hypothesis or preposition.

Hello, i hope you can help me with some information. I am having a real hard time scanning with my brand new i700, i don't know if it's my amateur technique, camera, laptop or all together. It takes me ~1h to scan maxillar + mandibular ( partials prothèses). My camera blocks like all the time and it takes a lot to refind the last scanned position. A couple of times I couldn't fill some "holes"( the palatine zone especially) and i couldn't resist it anymore and got back to the classic way. I run a i7 processor, rtx Nvidia (it came with the scanner) . Any idea how to make my life beautiful again, before smashing the caméra ?? Thanks

Which cable do you prefer i600? İ bouth apple thunderbolt 4 pro cable but i can’t run i600 on my m1 imac.

Just look for a USBC cable with faster data transfer speeds, or I think the smartest way is to contact Medit as I did for a cable!

i600 skenira brze, do 35 fps dok i500 24fps, ali generalno ne treba se zanositi sa tom brzinom, jer je poenta skenirati kvalitetno a ne brzo.. posebno sto je u odnosu na analogno sve toliko brze da nam minut duze ne menja nista!

FIRST!!! My cable (i700) where NOT as short a yours. They're actually gray (haven't measured them though). PS: why didn't you compare using Medit Design? Instead of Exocad?

Yes, a small inaccuracy on our part is that we showed the short black cable from i700w that is meant for the hub instead of the longer grey one like you described. Nevertheless I the information is still useful for anyone trying to get an even longer cable than 2 m like it's included in the box. As for the Medit Compare software, it totally escaped our mind. Both are great and both operate on a similar iterative closest point (ICP) algorithm ...

The main apps are here, I think they are working on the rest of the apps. But apps like temporaries, design, ortho, smile design are already here to download and use.

They are both great scanners, at the end all that matters is software around the scanner. That is why, at least in my opinion, medit is the best! I do all my work with medit apps that are working great with SprintRay 3D printer!

@@MLjubicic Thx for reply. I will Test the Medit with a MacBook Pro Max . In my Option Windows is good but for this Task M1 or M2 ist better. Also i dont want a big Laptop to carry around. In 2 Weeks i get the Medit for Test purpose and i will tell the results.

@@viceroyliht I have no doubt about Mac laptops, especially Macbook Pro Max, Medit is flying on Macbook air M2 with 16Gb of ram, that laptop costs around 1200Eur. Absolutely the best laptop for Medit!

All computers work just great, Medit for MAc is still in beta. I prefer Mac, but for example exocad doesn't work with Mac, so that should be taken in consideration.

@@hrvojebracic moze i preko medit linka, ali moze i klasicno, export, izaberes koji fajl hoces da li obj ili stl, i posaljes we transferom npr. MEdit je otvorenog tipa softver, pa nemas ogranicenja u tom smislu. Ja licno jos od bete koristim samo MEk, mnogo mi vise tako odgovara, jer mogu da radim dizajn i fotke i skenove sve zajedno na jednom racunaru i direktno saljem sta treba tehnici.
