I can't wait for the final form of Meditation, when the entire concert is just a 2 hour version of Meditation. I will pay to attend that concert.

This! If I could only pick one song to listen to forever Meditation would be on the short list.

Last year, I was lucky enough to bump into Cory just after the soundcheck when he came in Sète in the south of France. I felt extremely lucky to meet him and to be able to talk to him. I thanked him for the joy he constantly brings to us but I did not forget to ask him what was his inspiration for Meditation, the song that touches me every time I listen to it. He told me Change the World by Eric Clapton and a specific album of Brad Mehldau (I could not retain the name). Such a masterpiece, totally agree with you @grantreynolds5654.

the run at 6:22 is borrowing heavily from Prelude 2 by Heitor Villa-Lobos. look that piece up and listen to the first 10 seconds if you are curious

Im so glad you guys posted this, i was at the show (feb 24, 2024) and forgot to record the first 3 minutes. Also i was standing in the back and can only see the back of the crowd. I swear meditation might be my favorite song, but dont make me pick a version!

Cory killing it even with the broken string at the end!!

It's honestly no big deal, especially due to his style. He's a great musician. I'm just saying it's absolutely no problem for any semi decent guitarist to do that. He's all about textures, layers and space. He uses silence well

Yes! Love me some Meditation! I was recently blessed to see the last two shows of the Fall 2024 tour in his hometown of St. Paul, MN. On the final night, he played a version of Meditation much like this one, with a long, intricate acoustic intro. Cory is such an unbelievably excellent musician, as are Petar, KG, Kenni, and really the entire band! Mind blowing! 🤯

I've always been a big fan of Cory and have been in Awe of his musicianship but with this performance he catapulted himself in my top 5 guitarists of all time. The sheer versatility in his playing and composing is out of this world, holy moly.
