This is design, draftsmanship and pen/brushwork of the highest order. Absolutely gorgeous. I love the different textures you achieve with the two-toned watercolour, metallic paint and the dot shading - it was lovely to see how you just expanded out the centre most circle when you put a tiny dot just slightly outside the circle! It is very difficult to come up with such a complex design that obeys the rules of Celtic interlacing of over/under that is so beautiful and balanced. I presume you sketch out the design first, or does it emerge on the fly? You are a joy to watch. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for your kind words! I greatly appreciate them 🙏 with some I'll do the quickest sketch of a small cross section first to see if it works but for the most part I like to let my designs grow organically!

Has anyone else noticed the Duck emerging at 2.00 ? (The end is stunning, but at 2.00 I am reminded of the 3 disney ducklings (tick tricn and track?) or the uggly duckling (who becomes a swan)

I always used to doodle patterns at university and loved detailed art in highschool but it wasn't until after graduating that I started exploring it more! It's been 9 years now I think 😮
