Welcome to Part Two of our September/October 2022 ocean journey, A Mediterranean Odyssey, aboard the Viking Sea.
This time, our trip takes us from Barcelona, Spain, to the heart of Tuscany, Italy.
In Part Two, we will visit Rome, Italy, Naples, Italy (Pompeii), Cruise the Strait of Messina, and Corfu (Kerkyra, Greece.

Civittavecchia - “Ci”in Italian is pronounced “chi” like in chicken. The “che” is pronounced hard, like a “k”.

Thank you for the correction. Not being a native Italian speaker I turned to Google Translate for help. I thought I accurately parroted what Google Translate gave me, but perhaps I missed a slight nuance within my hearing of the Google Translate speaker. I’ll try harder next time😃
