Kev, thanks for all of the cool content and steering me quickly to purchase the Ardor X1. IT's at my house already. One thing I would love to see you upgrade ANY bike with on your channel, it's pricey, but a Cane Creek 1.5+ AngleSet Headset to make a super slack hardtail. The Ardor X1 would actually be really cool, to see a Walmart Bike with 65degrees and 2.6's. Thanks again for your time and effort. Can't wait to put a KevCentral sticker on the Ardor X1

Keep reviewing something new for your channel and you'll have me and others stoked for many more years to come. Drivetrain: Advent X has a larger cassette and an extra gear, but there's nothing wrong with Box... But, I'm not riding it. Doi what YOU like here. Handlebars: Hey, again, it's not my bike... Ride what makes you most comfortable. Fork: Let's see that Slackerizer or tapered fork conversion headset, because you've never done a video on these parts, nor have I seen anyone else's. Could be really good for views too, plus you've already shown us these other options. Pedals: Rockbros, because I want to see a longterm review on these. Keep up the good work!

Something I want to see you do: Do a video for those that want to build a bike from the frame up and see what the minamum budget is. Not for high end parts. Like... 'minimum viable trail bike that has upgrade potential.' see what that is like vs buying from walmart to see if you save money goig all diy or if having to buy everything as am end customer screws you over compared to, example, buying an aluminum comp.

Hey I have the same bike and If I may speak freely I would chunk the tires and go with a set of Maxxis Minions DHR II and DHF the stock tires that came with my Polygon wasn't that grippy... the rear just spun more than I'd like Also, pay attention to the rear hub...mine has "Hub Roar" and I've had it for nearly a year Oh! one more thing, be mindful of the rim tape...I've hat to replace many innertubes then I used gorilla tape to replace the stock rim tape... haven't had a flat since. Can't wait to see how this bike turns out I'm excited to see what you do to it :)

Go for your regular ixf crankset or funn ridge 1x. Also upgrade the rear derailleur to a shimano slx 10 speed. Conversely to all other comments (apparently), not rockshox. It's too main stream. try Manitou or something different. Ever considered doing a cheap big box disc road bike to gravel bike conversion? there are some interesting cheap all carbon mtb forks out there (Iveke comes to mind) and 1x gravel drivetrains (Sensah SRX pro comes to mind here). Could be an interesting project in the future

very difficult questions on upgrading . I think the fork Is the most interesting going with a name brand airfork or a budget airfork . I might do both and compare . I think doing the slack adapter is great also . So I would do all 4 choices and do a review on each and how it changes the ride . A bit of work on your part but each has the pros and cons and it would be nice to see which was the best combination . The drivetrain I dont see allot of change in the ride unlike the fork and the headset which can be substantial

JGbike Crank, Sensah 10x1 groupset 11-42T, Slackerize. Bike looks like a win but for me I'm now refusing high standover frames. Ltwoo. I've not heard much of the brand, but have heard some good from their road shifters. Similar to sensah I believe. But they have a 10 speed kit, comes with rear derailleur, shifter, cassette, chain, and even a chainring for the front if you want it. All for about $70. I'm tempted to try it out, but can't come to terms with me taking perfectly fine parts off my mountain bike right now

I've always wondered about the Slack R headsets that you can use to make your headtube angle steeper or slacker and would definitely be cool to see.

Hard to find QUALITY 3x in front 22 34 44 w 11-36 back. I ride a 17 yr old Giant Iguana disk but want to upgrade since factories aren't making quality 3x in front anymore. Bucklos fork. This would be an SUV. vs forcing ppl to either a Jeep or a sedan. Great content.

Quality 3x is the wildcard. LB shops are saying I need to highly customize something new to get what I want, and it will be expensive and technically difficult. They suggested Surly at $ 2200+...

personally, if i had to customize a bike, id go with box, for the cranks, id go with those action crank arms you had on that hydroform and for the fork id go with the airfork but its how i would do my bike
