Cheers Lynne, as you know wet feet are an occupational hazard, I'm surprised they are not webbed 😂. 30 minutes is a loooong video although it didn't seem too bad when editing it. Here's to a great weekend out with your camera 🙏🙏🙏

Great B&W images Izzy, liked the way you kept changing compositions and focus stacking. Really enjoyable, nice to review different shutter speeds with the waves, you nailed them. Thank you and have a nice week

Thanks Ross, always appreciated. I'm glad this little episode had something of interest for you. I might have to do an editing episode on focus stacking in the future. Enjoy the coming weekend 🙏🙏🙏

Just checked out the settings on my camera and I can do focus stacking as per your video, my previous camera didn't have it. Always learning, which is the great thing about the hobby. Thanks for the shout out as well.

I'm always blown away by the quality of your images and I think with some of these you've raised the bar even higher. Had to watch some passages twice because Raffi was upstaging you in the background. I'm not getting many opportunities to get oit and make images at present, but it's great to watch your vlogs for a vicarious fix.

Thank you so much Tony, I am aware that your time is mostly accounted for at the moment... I do hope that situation works out for you and your family. I'm honoured that you still try and squeeze in my channel, that means a lot. Look after you and yours 🙏🙏🙏

Wowzers Izzy...nailed it again. Loved your INTENTION for doing B&W for these, they are absolutely stunning! I like the one at 11:30, the stacked image in preference to the PS blended - just me perhaps? But boy the one at 20:00 just perfect! Please, please, please, put me down for your first workshop! Say Hi to Raffy too...see you next week.....

Thank you as always Helen, I am now seriously considering a small (very small) workshop sometime soon. Of course I will run the dates by you first before announcement. Glad you enjoyed the trip out, those are my favourite rocks at the moment. Have a lovely weekend 🙏🙏🙏

Just when I thought you might stay dry for an entire video - HA! Lots of great tips on capturing texture and contrast and I enjoyed the 'picture in a picture' style of demo, if that's what it's called. Great setting for the drama of B&W. I liked the texture of the blended versions as well.
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography Жыл бұрын
Thank you Juanita, I don't have that much luck staying dry do I 😂, this time it wasn't so bad. The blended long exposure can come in useful if you don't have any filters... just set the correct exposure up, switch to manual and fire off your images. The more the better if I had taken a hundred or more that would have looked fantastic - I might just make a video of that and show how you blend them back in the studio. Enjoy the rest of the week and have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏

Cheers Justin, glad you enjoyed the show 🙏 . Even when intend to only go mono, sometimes the colour version has something about it so I like to pop up both for the audience. Enjoy the coming weekend 🙏🙏🙏

good to see the longer format video won out in the end - very enjoyable Izzy mate 🙂 now, while you were having a B&W day, and as lovely as the images are, it's the colour ones at 20:45 and 24:15 that hit the mark for me. perfect, muted tones and the ultimate sweet spot of a shutter speed for my taste. top job as usual mate - chapeau!!

Merci mon ami 🙏 Its funny I fully intended to only present mono images but I always edit for colour first anyway, ands then do a new separate edit for mono. When I saw some of the colour images I just knew they would make it into the video... best laid plans and all that... 😂

Stupendous images and not all B&W which was a relief for me! If I can recall correctly the one at 21:21 was my favourite but hard to choose. Hope your footwear has not spoiled due to sea water! Thank you Izzy and take care

Thank you very much Jill, I always look forward to hearing from you and I hope you are well. I will let you into a little secret... I spray WD40 on them when I get back to the car and give them a little wipe. I don't know if it is supposed to work or not but it seems to keep the leather supple. Have a great weekend ahead 🙏🙏🙏

Stunning location and stunning images. I thought there was beautiful color in the scenes though at the beginning of your vlog you thought there wouldn't be. I think your blended images were very nice. When I have tried that I didn't like the results. Maybe I wasn't using enough images. I still tend to prefer the long exposures to the blends. They just seem smoother, silkier to me. The black and white images were equally beautiful. You've given me an idea for a very difficult image I have been trying to capture lately. We've been having a rather dry summer around Chicago with very almost entirely clear blue skies. There's an image I have in mind but the dynamic range between the clear blue sky and the landscape below is so great I've been struggling to make it. I'm going to give it a try Monday when I go out again. As always, beautiful images.

Thanks Keith, you never know what the location is going to give you ahead of time. I intended this to be purely a mono shoot but as you said some of the colour images worked out quite well. I hope you get the shot you are after, I'd be interested in seeing your results. Have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏

I just discovered your channel recently. The compositions are really great along with the post processing. This is some of the best work on you tube. Are you using the extra monitor just to have a larger screen for composing or is it just for video? I have a GFX50R and have thought about using a 7 inch monitor to have a view camera size screen. I didn't know if any monitors worked in stills mode or if they only worked when the camera was in video mode. Obviously a screen twice as large would be helpful for landscape work.
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much Keith, I'm honoured to have you along for the ride 🙏. I am making a video on the monitor shortly so hopefully that will give you some insight. I use it for both reasons, it really helps tell the story and as I should be using glasses outdoors (and keep forgetting them) it helps with seeing the compositions more easily. Have a great week ahead 🙏🙏🙏
