My doctors keep looking for antibodus and inflammation markers. Sometimes they will get sporadic positive results. There is one that runs positive all the time saying there is an autoimmune condition but isn't specific to a condition. My x-rays were read incorrectly.

I've been diagnosed with bilateral sacroiliitis based on my X-ray findings. My Quantiferon gold test for tuberculosis is negative. Currently, my C-reactive protein (CRP) level is at 16, RA factor positive, Anti CCP is negative. Is there a possibility that this could lead to ankylosing spondylitis (AS)? My physician hasn't ordered an HLA B27 test up to this point. At 20 years old, I'm feeling quite down. Coming from a middle-class background, I find the treatment for this condition appears to be quite expensive. If I begin exercising now and adhere to my medication regimen-I'm presently on Methotrexate, Folic Acid, and Prednisone-could this help me avoid developing AS? My family holds a lot of expectations for me. Could you please provide some guidance? Thank you in advance.
