Braun is fantastic for our hospital-affiliated LifeFlight critical care transport.. especially in pediatrics. So compact, it should be used everywhere.

the smart prompts on this machine are an absolute godsend... i was able to keep my mothers pump running constantly with nearly no stops on my own and the nurses loved that i was so involved. they are incredibly overworked and it takes them sometimes 45 mins to respond to a patient call... if you ever are admitted YOU NEED A COMPANION! YOU NEED THEM.

Any comments on the Ivenix IV pump?

Braun is trash!!! Errors and beeps constantly, to the point where the patient never ends up receiving the fluids they are suppose to get and abx take twice as long to infuse. The tiniest airbubble or no air bubble at all causes errors. Programming takes entirely too long and takes away from patient care. You constantly have to press ok, ok, ok. And scrolling through 50 meds one at a time is ridiculous. Loading and removing the tubing is electronic! Why??? Once again time consuming. Battery life is too short and needs to be plugged in ALL the time, but bc cords are detachable, they are hard to find, which is time consuming. This is the worst pump on the market. Alaris and Spectrum are the best. Plum is second in line. Someone with ZERO medical experience clearly designed Braun.

The hospital I work at recently switched to Braun from the Baxter pumps and I 100% agree. They are an inferior pump compared to the baxter pumps they replaced. I have also worked with plum iv pumps and I would take them over braun.
