Good demo - I use a walking stick to help with the actual action of walking ....I alway's feel as if medical people treat this Antalgic gait as a "Functional Disorder" and display a certain amount of hidden contempt....Nurses on hospital wards certainly do - I had one instance when a Senior Nurse accused me of "Putting it on"!!!!...your video should be shown to many of those doubting professionals for my pain is real and constant....Many Thanks for the demo, well done.

Pain is still very real for people with FND. I don't have it that I know of but if they say they are in pain then they are.

yep! thanks for watching! of course, someone in the medical world wasn't satisfied with 'limping' and had to overcomplicate the gait's name

I walk something like this due to injury to my lower back, hip and knee. What really makes it rough is the job I do. I run a ride-on floor machine, and you can only board the machine on your right leg. There is a lot of walking, kneeling,climbing and bending. Not much chance of a break or avoiding what stresses the injuries. It's been 2 months of this since I fell, and I have to wait til tomorrow to get the results of x-rays I had the other day. Whatever the damage is, I hope the doc can fix it and get me back to where I was before the injuries :)

I believe I am a culprit of this gait deformity. I do get pain in my upper hamstring / glute when trying to heel trying with that leg. It hurts to bear weight and my leg gives out. I had an MRI done showing I have a large disc herniation at L4/L5. I wonder if this gait comes from a compression or weakness in glute.
