Excellent Video. To see how this line was is brilliant. I didn't join the Railway until 2015, and this is one of my routes as a conductor.

Wonderful memories of some of the best boxes I ever worked in. Looking at the Wateringbury box, it’s strange to know that my locker is there in full view and that my stuff is actually there……if only I could touch into the screen lol plus seeing my old nemesis too Mr Grant. Mr Salmon at Maidstone too And ooh those crossing bells at Aylsford, oh the memories

Many thanks for posting this. Was a secondman & driver over this route during this period, the 56 at New Hythe on the Brookgate was one of our regular turns.

This brings back memories of my dad and myself when I was 4 or 5. He would take me for a train ride along the Medway valley line, it was only when I was older I found out that he knew I would sleep well that night!!

Dad was a signalman at Wateringbury for many years between mid 60's and mid 80's spent a bit of time in the box myself during school holidays, though I had to duck down from time to time just in case! 😂.

Unusual seeing passengers getting of the train before it’s even stopped. Nowadays it’s electric
