A visit to this busy location on the banks of the Medway featuring Southeastern High Speed and Thameslink services on the North Kent line, plus some surprises.

Sometimes a bit more research before going out would pay dividends. It's annoying to find that I don't have a clip to illustrate a point that comes to light afterwards.

Southeastern has got the best trains on their network including Class 375, Class 376, Class 465, Class 466, Class 395, Class 377/5 and Class 707. And Thameslink Class 700 are also very nice. Plus I haven’t been to Strood.

Thanks so much for this addendum to the Medway video. I saw the Medway video, and got enamoured with the gorgeous broad vistas over the wide Medway valley, and decided that if I could afford an extended visit to the London area, I would want to rent a window loft with a million dollar view over that valley; it makes me feel expansive. I was surprised about the canal and railway in one tunnel; I guess that all traffic must have traveled very slowly, with a lot of communication !! The Erie Canal in New York State was usurped by the New York Central Railroad, and could not compete; now it is a tourist route for pleasure boats, like your canal on the north side of London. The Pennsylvania Railroad in Pennsylvania stopped using canals when they finally were able to tackle the mountain slopes by the rails. I must organize my life before I can do many detailed researches on London railways; I will have to be cursory until then, as the money paradigm speaks loudly, and I have to earn more $$$. I have to restrict too much KZbin until then. You are the fountain of data; thank you so very much. Aarre Peltomaa

The pound is very cheap at the moment. I'll be posting some short videos on Facebook over the next couple of weeks. I think you will enjoy some of them.

Thanks Kenny. It was a fun day out. Train down to Rochester and then a bit of exploring on the e-bike.

May I recommend a map, showing where the station is to others mentioned. Thank you for a remarkable video, captions and photography are very good. Patrick, Northamptonshire

Thank you Patrick. That's always a difficult one due to copyright which KZbin does sometimes pick up on. I can recommend the National Library of Scotland website. You can have current and historic side by side to get an accurate perspective.
@@BoogiesTrains may be talking to them, and getting their input, might get over copyright. Surely the railway's route map could be the answer! The London dockland video, has got over the problem. Just a thought. Thanks for your patience. Regards, Patrick
