Great bit of driving, you really had the car on the limit (track day rubber fitted?) and controlled it well. You could see your lines getting messy when the Porsche was pushing you, he was the faster car but that's no shocker if he had any clue about how to drive the thing. Glad you didn't stack it at the end.

Thanks...and you are absolutely right, as he came up on me I started getting very messy! That was a very fast car! Still, it was fun even if the car is hugely under powered.

Thanks it's a good circuit. It's pretty standard with just a k&n replacement panel filter and a replacement stainless manifold, with longlife stainless exhaust system (very quiet, 90db)

Two questions, was this running the standard 1zz engine? If so was the sump baffled or stock? Thanks.

These MR2s used the 1ZZ-FE. Overall pretty bulletproof engine. It's the 2ZZ-GE that had issues with the sump if you downshifted and overreved the engine.

I used the sticky go pro mount, stuck onto my harness bar.

You need to shift smoothly and downshift with heel and toe. It's bad for your gearbox and engine to shift so hard.

Nice. Builds speed nicely until it gets to 4th gear where the engine starts to struggle building revs and speed. But still, it has a lot of potential. Still a very good engine.

If u can budget a 2zz engine, then doing an engine swap for a 2zz would be great. Builds revs and speed much faster.
