Comprehensive review! I just got the V5 a couple months ago, which was my first electric board and I love it, and am looking for my next board. I was looking for something between snowboarding seasons. You've totally sold me on the Flow, I can't wait to get that carving experience along with more power, looks so fun! Your side by side comparison of boards and explanation of stance widths/stability was so good, thanks!!

Yes! A comparison between the Meepo Flow and a board equipped with a Waterborne adapter would be really nice. I think if you want to make an ultra carvy board that is still stable, a deep drop-down deck like the Boundmotor Octopus combined with a Waterborne surf adapter would be the ultimate carvy build.
@poncho1567 Жыл бұрын
Epic idea. I have a Tynee 2 and was looking for a review with the waterborne fin system. Nothing I can find. Being in Aus means shipping is half the price so not really wanting to wing it.

I just finished a custom build like this. Took a Meepo voyager’s guts(battery,esc,motors) and put them on a Santa Monica Airlines cruiser deck. Added surf adapters with rear rail and a Major Arc truck on front. It’s so much fun! Pretty compact but heavy as heck to carry

Im wondering if the tynee stinger is comparable with stability. It has double barrel bushing as opposed to barel cone like the flow. Also deeper cup washers so it should be more stable in theory. Though you have to take the unnecessary riser pad off.

Thanks for explaining the stance and wheelbase on turnings and controls. I’m in the process of shortening an older board to a dimension like the Flow. Really want to tryout a shorter board without paying for one.

I think this Board might change my mind about riding smaller boards /shortboards. I also think the Board looks very Good which i think is a plus Point for meepo.

I'm happy owner of Meepo V4S and last year I've pushed it to make it carve more - I've wedged it, I raised it to avoid wheel bite, I've changed to softer bushings again for turning easily and finally I've been able to maneuver it on narrow streets where I live and take it to a skatepark, but I always loved 105 wheels because the city where I live have lots of chamfer tiles roads and bike lanes and they are not skateboard friendly. Now Meepo released a board just for me - can't wait to see what it's possible to do at skatepark with it. Definitely buying one for this season.
@hh7071 Жыл бұрын
Exactly what the market was missing! As both surfer and surfskater, I'm all about the carve rather than speed. Love my Exway Atlas double kingpins and tried to recreate the same deep carve on my Tynee Mini2. However, the 105 Mad wheels would get wheel bite if not careful. Also tried the waterborne adapter but it adds too much extra weight. This Flow with the boosted-type wheels and new models like Tynee Stinger are exactly what I was looking for.
@evtechsteven Жыл бұрын
With this board your deck will hit the motor guard before hitting the wheels. So in a way you don’t have to worry about wheel bites

Wheelbase aside. I had a Stoke and the DKPs is what makes it turn very tightly.Too tightly IMO. However this one is even heavier and since I am fairly sure I cannot carry it by the front trucks with a straight arm. This means a normal longboard is more portable since you can drag it. The surf shape was invented buy Evolve since this is a very close copy.

I like it... but bothers me that they are so shameless about ripping off Evolve . Isn't there a newer version of the Evolve Stoke, Stoke 2 ? Been wanting to order Stoke 2 but not able to pull the trigger because of the battery size. Meepo Stoke rip off has a bigger battery and adds to the weight. So it's a tricky one.
