There was actually a dog park that brought in dung beetles to keep the park clean and people did not have to scoop it up!

My dad brought home some buffalo chips, from Kansas' preserve, Bluegrass Prairie; put 28 coats of polyurethane one them, & it's in my showcase now. The heart of the heartland. Sitting Bull said, "A cold wind blew across the prairie when the last buffalo fel....a death-wind for my people.

Dang S.Korea lost so many dung beetles. Extinction? Tiny country and no cow. Some western side of Korea there is still exist few dung beetles but when my parent were born Cows were every where and great dung beetles were everywhere also. Couple years ago even the Diving Beetle became sites. Way more difficult to find dung beetles.

There was this beetle I found when I was a kid that look similar in color, but very tiny. Munching on morning glorys, or lived there. I never did figure out it's name :(

Rare, maybe in Colorado, but in other places they can be quite abundant. Some burrowing owls feed on them.

Wow! Sooo cool! I had a necklace that had one incased in it, I always wondered what beetle it was, I just really remember that spike on the back of the beetle. It may or may not have been that beetle but I looked just like that one.

I just had one land right next to me in the parking lot of a casino in KC MO.. got some really good shots of it on my iPhone.. 2 minutes late it flew off. Really cool. Was wondering if it was rare or not.

The bison were "free cattle" for so many pioneers. It's amazing we didn't slaughter them entirely... Mankind has devastated this planet in its search for food. Imagine the Earth had we all remained subsistence beasts. It's almost impossible.

Ah yes, I know all about the dung beetle. If you put dung in its inventory and place it on wander, it produces fertilizer and oil. Reference - Ark: Survival Evolved.
