Dang S.Korea lost so many dung beetles. Extinction? Tiny country and no cow. Some western side of Korea there is still exist few dung beetles but when my parent were born Cows were every where and great dung beetles were everywhere also. Couple years ago even the Diving Beetle became sites. Way more difficult to find dung beetles.

Rare, maybe in Colorado, but in other places they can be quite abundant. Some burrowing owls feed on them.

The bison were "free cattle" for so many pioneers. It's amazing we didn't slaughter them entirely... Mankind has devastated this planet in its search for food. Imagine the Earth had we all remained subsistence beasts. It's almost impossible.
