Running horizontally was not an issue. Problems existed when the robot attempted to turn either uphill or downhill. Going uphill, the robot would slip and lose traction mostly due to the loose soil that contains a lot of sand. Going downhill, the robot would again slide and become unable to negotiate the turn and stay on course
