What a great interview! I laughed a lot. As a climber myself I'm always in awe of what those professionals are capable of. Last year I saw Juliane Wurm and her team training in my gym in Cologne. When they were done with one route I tried it as well just for fun. Mostly I didn't make it to the 3rd hold - and yes, I included both starting holds in my count :-) They are all _very_ skinny, which makes it a bit easier obviously, but nonetheless their strength and flexibility is mind-blowing.

I wanted to go say hello and how much I admire her to her in Liverpool climbing hangar a few years ago, but as a 40+ year old non-climbing bloke I felt it best to just leave her to do her thing without an embarrassing and possibly creepy old man praise - then leaving with my friend/co-worker Heather she said oh yeah I chat and climb with Shauna there all the time.. I felt like an idiot twice in one day (more if you count my terrible climbing efforts!). Anyway, really proud to see her get an MBE and the spotlight she deserves - can't wait for the Olympics next year now to cheer her on! Go ed Shauna ar kid!!
