I think it's just like giving a friend a good scratch on their back, and seeing the relief from the itchiness in their voice and face. Plus, there's something so sweet about an animal choosing to engage in behaviour like this, and coming back time and again to enjoy it. 😊

Interesting you say he is usually is so feisty and bites you so much but let you do this without a ton of sass. he must have enjoyed the preening/attention! Glad he is in a better home, cats and birds really should not mix

@@MS-tf8vh I have no idea why! The moment the tweezers touched his cheeks, he calmed down a bit. Further into the session he calmed down even more. It's just that every single time I handle him (and Juanita) normally, they clamp down on my finger😅. After this session I nudged him to step up, and he bit me again. I absolutely agree, cats and birds should never mix! He was lucky that he didn't get his air sac punctured or develop sepsis. He's a very lucky little man.
